Religion has been the driving force for many historical events and therefore very important for almost each person in the world. Rila monastery is the biggest Orthodox monastery in Bulgaria and the amazing murals in its church gallery, the frescoes inside the church together with its great location in the mountain make it the most visited site for the travelers from all over the world! On its turn the Boyana church is like these little precious gems - they are small but they bear so much quality and beauty, especially when the reveal to us some quite unusual faucets! The tour to the Rila monastery will remain one of your best traveling memories ever!
We will start in the morning when you are going to be picked-up from the place of your accommodation or another spot convenient for you to be picked-up. After approximately 2 hours we will reach the Rila monastery. While on the road you will hear and learn about the history of Bulgaria, how and when was the Cyrillic alphabet created and some other interesting and curious facts. At the monastery we are going to have two hours of sightseeing around the monasterial premises and visit the church "Nativity of Mary. Certainly, there a few explanations on some of the most important murals and frescoes together and I will describe and explain some of the features of the Orthodox Christianity. Of course, you may like to have some time for your own exploration of the immediate nearby area or to taste some of the local "MEKITSI" which are made in the bakery next to the monastery. A
