Three caves and a city break tour

The tour was designed for those of you who always appreciate the miracles that Mother Nature has created! In Bulgaria have been discovered about 5100 caves and 57 of them have been turned into tourist sites. On this tour we'll visit Prohodna (Eyes of God), Devetashka and the Saeva dupka caves, presenting the combination of a typical cave with stalactites and stalagmites, easy to walk around and the Prohodna cave, which is stunning with the two openings at the top of it which looked up from a certain angle do look amazingly like the Eyes of God! Neither of the caves requires any special training except the usual proper shoes and some warm light jacket. Do not forget your cameras or binoculars!

Starting from your hotel in the morning we'll hit the "Hemus" highway taking us to the Northern Bulgaria, driving along some tunnels, going across the mountain Stara Planina. - In about 120 km (80 miles), 1 1/2 hours we will enter the Eyes Of God cave, where we'll admire the creativity of Mother Nature and the amazing sight of the "eyes of God" looking from above us. - Then we'll take about a 30-minute drive to the Saeva dupka cave and will enter one of the most beautiful caves in Bulgaria. The visit takes around 40-50 minutes where well have a local guide to give us the history of the formation of the cave and some more explanations regarding the stalactites and the stalagmites, the terrain, some legends. - Optional - we may visit the Glozhene monastery established in the early 13th century, survived the Ottoman empire period, landed on a rock with a fantastic view across the Danubian plain from the altitude of about 900 m above the sea level. - Planned returning to Sofia about 6 pm.
