World famous Prohodna "Eyes of God" Cave and more

The tour take you to a unique cave, where many movies have been shot. (With Ed Harris, Collin Farrell, Christoph Lambert and others). We will explore the cave, its world-famous openings (God's Eyes) and the surrounding area for a couple of hours. Short trails lead to the Iskar River, the St. Marina Rock Monastery, etc. Optional Short detours en route and back provide opportunities to explore: * a waterfall, * a small side canyon, * other caves and marvel at majestic rock faces. We can hike and take photos of the unspoilt gorge and the surrounding countryside. Depending on time available, onie more "classical" cave might be visited before heading back to Sofia late in the evening. The tour can be customized according to your interests, time availability and abilities. Send me your questions / requests.

We will leave Sofia in the morning, heading north along the Iskar River Gorge. In about 90 min we will make a short detour to marvel at a beautiful waterfall. We can also hike around it and take some photos. We will make another stop several km further along the gorge, where the rocks overhang majestically over. Here we will spend some quality time to hike, explore a cave or two, take photos of the gorge, watch birds, etc. Depending on your preferences we can hike longer, explore a hidden small canyon, climb to scenic vantage points, or spend some time in interesting caves. We can have coffee/beer/food at a local restaurant (optional) or enjoy a packed lunch in the open. We can either head back to Sofia or visit at least one more impressive cave (worth seeing!) further away and return to the city on a diferent road later in the evening (at an extra cost). There is also another cave with beautiful formations which may be visited depending on our timing (obligatory local guide and also at an extra cost)
