Aloha! I'm Demian, owner of Makana Maui Adventures, who grew up on the East, West, and far West coastlines of the U. S. With a passion for exploring the Hawaiian Islands, since my father moved to Lanai and the Big Island In 1988. For 17 years, Hawaii was my home away from California, leaving no stone unturned, while always discovering something new and incredible about this paradise. The Aloha spirit of the islands were instilled in me and knew it was a matter of time before committing to full time living on my favorite island of all, Maui! 15 years ago. ​The natural wonders, lifestyle, and history of discovering the Hawaiian islands inspired me to start my own private tour company 10 years ago, having gained extensive experience in adventure tours, cultural sightseeing tours and hiking tours, with an education on Hawaiian history, flora, fauna and Volcanology. I've been in the ocean my entire life on all coasts, from boating, fishing, netting for shrimp and crab, ocean sports, diving, to being an avid open water swimmer. A real passion of mine is to discover places I truly resonate with.
