Merhaba!(Hi!) I am Mehmet Isik. I'm 55. I'm an experienced, licensed tour guide and driver. I have been working in tourism since 1992. In 2014, I upgraded my tour guide licence and I am now able to do tours in these regions of Turkey:- Mediterranean, the Black Sea, Central Anatolia, East Anatolia and South East Anatolia. I have lived in Antalya for more than ten years, but I was born in Adana. I joined ToursByLocals in 2013. I'd like to welcome you to Antalya and show you this beautiful area of my country. I look forward to taking you to special places where you can enjoy the history, culture, atmosphere, delicious food and glorious landscapes that the Mediterranean region has to offer. I am used to working with smaller groups, providing a more personal VIP service to meet my guests interests. I am punctual, helpful, professional yet friendly, and will do my best to ensure that you enjoy your tours. I know that hiring a private guide, such as myself, is more expensive than sitting on a bus with 50 people, but it is a far better experience. You'll see more, do more and have an experience tailored to your interests and needs. In accordance with the recent amendments of laws regarding tour guiding in Turkey, the guides are not allowed to directly sell tours. Enjoyed our day with Mehmet! He picked us up in a super comfortable SUV with a fantastic driver. We had a great time at both the upper and lower waterfalls! And then we spent the rest of the day exploring the old city. He provided us with great historical perspectives and local insights. Great tour by Mehmet. He had the best vehicle for any TBL that we have done, larger van, refreshments, and even wi-fi! He did a great walking tour of old town and the new marina area that was very informative in addition to other sites. Mehmet helped us better understand the history and culture of Antalya! The four of us had a wonderful tour with Mehmet around Antalya. Our friends were first timers with Tour by Locals and were very impressed with custom van that we were picked up in. This guide did not know ANY history/details of Antalya. We asked questions to start conversation, but he didn't know answers to even simple questions…and that is not an exaggeration. Our original guide, Cihan K cancelled on us last minute and Mehmet was his replacement. Previously, we had great tours w/ TBL guides so we trusted TBL to find a qualified guide. Bad decision....
