As a historian I like to show the monuments of the city but I especially enjoy talking about our local culture. This is Sevilla, so we can talk about soccer, tapas, processions, flamenco, and of course, our wines! I like to visit places that normally are not included in the traditional visitor's circuit. Let me take you to the charming market of Feria Street, a cloister convent where to eat a sweet. The views from the other side of the river are beautiful, specially if you go during the "blue hour". I love to travel all the time. I have been in UK, France, Italy, Egypt, Frech Polynesia, India, Madison Wisconsin, New York City, Germany, Belgium, The Netherlands, Croatia, Portugal, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Cerdeña, Córcega, Sicily, Ireland, Canada, . . . I got married in 2006 and have two beautiful princesses, Elsa (2012) and Emma (2017). History and music are an important part of my life. I am lucky to live in Sevilla but really lucky because my job it is to show you not only the monuments , the gastronomy but specially the soul of Sevilla. Forget about the time, we need no maps, just enjoy as we are in Sevilla! History degree (1993-1998) Official licensed guide since 2001. Manager of a tourist company since 1999. Writer of the book "Semana Santa in Sevilla" (2001)

Our tour of Seville with Jose was one of the highlights of our trip to Spain. He is incredibly knowledgeable and brought the city's history, architecture and culture to life with fascinating stories and insights. The time flew by, and we were genuinely surprised when the tour came to an end. If you're visiting Seville, we highly recommend requesting Jose—you won't find a...
We had a wonderful tour with Jose. He met us at our hotel and then walked us to the palace and touring sites, which were very close. He did a wonderful job showing us all the sites and made it all very interesting. He as also very in tune with our physical needs, given the warmup in the weather. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and felt like it was a good investment in...
Jose was a fantastic tour guide. He was engaging and extremely knowledgable of the history of Seville. He had an easygoing way about him and my teenage sons thought he was the best guide we’ve had in Spain!
We greatly enjoyed our tour with Jose Alfonso. His keen historical eye combined with his sense of humor brought the past to life in a fun and informative way. Jose was able to provide the necessary context for us to truly appreciate the history, culture, art, and architecture of Sevilla. Luz & Asim June 2026
