I was born and raised in the beautiful island of Roatan. At an early age, I was faced with the decision to work or go to school, so I started looking for the kind of work that would allow me to do both. While looking for a job, a friend told me to come and work as a tour guide in the meantime, and I discovered it was the perfect job for me. I had never thought that tour guiding was a possible job before. I got a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and went on to get what I always thought as a "real job". However, after only one week on the job, I realized that I was not doing what I loved, so I quit and started working as a bar waiter on a cruise ship. I travelled the world for 3 years and got tired of being away from my family for so long, so I came home and started working in the construction industry, but I did not like it either. Then I decided to give tour guiding another shot and immediately fell in love with showing others what is so special about my island and country! The 8 "bay islands" are one of 18 states of Honduras, and Roatan, Utila and Guanaja are the 3 biggest islands. We are part of the second-largest reef system in the world surpassed only by the great burial reef of Australia. I recently started my own tour company where I offer unique experiences full of history, gastronomy, nature, coral reef sightings, and tradition.
