Greetings from Roatan, my name is Janna, I was born and raised on the beautiful Island of Roatan and continue to call this small piece of paradise home. I love to travel and enjoy meeting people from all around the globe. I enjoy spending a lot of time on the water, whether on a boat above the surface or in the water snorkeling. My passion is cooking and I love to host guest at my dinner table. I left Roatan to pursue my higher education in Costa Rica and returned home and practiced for 5 years but really did not like being stuck inside the office all day. My love for cooking, entertaining guest, conversation and showing people around the Island got me into the tour industry. I now have the perfect job that allows me to do what I love, meeting new people from around the globe and showing them the beautiful island I call home, our way of life and the awesome people that live here. Experience the tranquility of the mangrove forest as you kayak through the enchanting tunnel beneath the canopy, leading you to a pristine lagoon with crystal-clear waters. In this serene lagoon, you will have the opportunity to swim and snorkel, discovering a diverse range of tropical fish and observing juveniles concealed among the mangrove roots. After your swim and snorkeling break, we will make our way out of the mangrove forest and head to Punta Caribe. Here, you can kayak while taking in views of the stunning bay filled with colorful houses on the hilltop and shoreline. You’ll also have the chance to snorkel the inshore reef. If the weather allows for calm seas, you can venture from the inshore reef to the open reef for a more exhilarating snorkeling experience, where you'll witness the dramatic drop-off. Your tour includes bottled water, life jackets, and snorkel gear for your convenience.
This tour was excellent!! Janna gave us very detailed instructions on how to meet her. We felt very safe the whole time. The trip out to where we were going was long, about an hour, but once we got out to the site, we felt like we were the only tourists in the area. The kayaking was fun and the snorkeling was amazing. Very special!
Our family of four had a fantastic time with Janna and her husband spending time away from the larger groups for a far more personalized experience. From pick up to drop off, Janna helped us understand the culture of the island, we had a quick stop at her mothers home to grab fruit salad, and we were off. Our son loves to be active - Janna's husband spent hours snorkeling with our 12 year old son showing him all kinds of tips and tricks and exciting things in the ocean. This tour was the highlight of our tour and we would absolutely recommend it to anyone.
Janna provided us a great experience from start to finish. Our pickup and drive were smooth and included a great mini tour of Roatan. Kayaking the mangroves/lagoons was fun and the snorkeling both inshore and outer reef were excellent. She has a great setup with her colleague/friend Jose running a small boat for support during the entire tour and basing the water activities from her home at the mangroves. Wonderful experience all around - thanks Janna!!
