Hi there and thanks for checking out my bio! While I was raised in California, my family has had a unique connection with Roatan since before I was born. My great uncle was one of the first 'gringos' to settle on Roatan in the 1950's and our family has been coming here ever since. I moved down here permanently a few years ago and opened up a business in West End. I was the first to bring the popular sport of standup paddleboarding to Roatan and began offering a variety of tours around the island by water and land. I love Roatan, its natural beauty, its people and the rich island culture. In the short time you are here I can provide you with a tour that spans the island from east to west and gives you a real glimpse of island life! I hope you will join me for an incredible island experience! Recreation Administration Major with a minor in Business and an emphasis in Natural Resources. Early Childhood Educator and a Montessori Preschool owner and director in Lake Tahoe, California.

The sloths have been saved from several building sites on the mainland of Honduras. The tour takes about 45 minutes depending on the crowd that given day. I have been bringing tours here for 10 plus years. The Johnson family have been family friends for years. I have been living in Roatán for 13 years now but my first vacation on the island was in 1973 for a family vacation. We then will head to West End for lunch at Sundowner's Beach Bar and Grill. But before getting into West End a stop at the Mayak Chocolate Factory is always nice. Once at Sundowners everyone can do what pleases themselves such as swim sunbath adult beverages or do a little shopping.

Nice tour. We got to see some of the island with nice stops and activities. Steve was a very good and informative tour guide. He took care of everything. Would recommend this tour or others with Steve.
Steve did a wonderful job of showing us around Roatan. Loved the sloth farm and chocolate factory. West End was cute but run down. Ate in very good restaurant in West End. Steve is very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about his adopted home and share that joy with his guests. Highly recommend Steve for private tour of the Island.
Steve is the best! This was our second tour with him in Honduras. I woul highly recommend Steve when your in Roatan!!!
He was informative and kept us moving. The sloth exhibit was fun and the trip to the West End pub was one of the high points.
We were taken here as our first stop on our tour with STEVE H. As they call him the tall white guy. On the drive to see the sloths we were shone the new sanitized building that is being adopted on to the island. The Danial Johnson tour was very nice. The sloth hang out under a pavilion They are free to move about. As of 4/25 the animals are not allowed to be held. I think for the best. You can hang out in the Mach’s and monkey cages. The tours are led in manageable groups. Very clean. Next we drove to the chocolate tasting but we choose to pass and go down the road to get empanada for lunch. Best food we had at 3.00 for two empanada s and water. Where we live you get really good food at gas stations so this was a treat. We then stopped by the side of the road to by pineapple turnovers. So good. We enjoyed hearing Steve’s history on the island. Loved it
Pick up is usually at 8:30 and a drop of at 2:30-3:30 depending on the ships time schedule. - It would take us about 25 minutes to drive to Daniel Johnson Sloth Farm. - After tour the sloth farm we will head through an old fishing village in French Harbor. - Lunch is in the west end at Sundowner's Beach Bar. - After lunch there will be plenty of time for guests to swim or shop - People find their way to the Gelato shop also in the west end * Do not hesitate to contact me for a customized tour
