Hi there and thanks for checking out my bio! While I was raised in California, my family has had a unique connection with Roatan since before I was born. My great uncle was one of the first 'gringos' to settle on Roatan in the 1950's and our family has been coming here ever since. I moved down here permanently a few years ago and opened up a business in West End. I was the first to bring the popular sport of standup paddleboarding to Roatan and began offering a variety of tours around the island by water and land. I love Roatan, its natural beauty, its people and the rich island culture. In the short time you are here I can provide you with a tour that spans the island from east to west and gives you a real glimpse of island life! I hope you will join me for an incredible island experience! Recreation Administration Major with a minor in Business and an emphasis in Natural Resources. Early Childhood Educator and a Montessori Preschool owner and director in Lake Tahoe, California.

This wonderful tour will take you to the east end of Roatan and away from the crowds to several of the lesser developed communities on the island. Learn about some of our culture and history, meet some local people, taste some local cuisine and see the real Roatan. Great photo opportunities await as we travel along Roatan's mountainous backbone. Panoramic views of the reef and white sand beaches can be viewed on both the north and the south shores during much of the journey. The main stop will be Oakridge, a charming fishing community where large shrimp and lobster boats may be seen in port. Here, "Oakridge Charlie" will take us on a 30-40 minute boat ride in an island-style motorized dory around the harbor of Pandytown, Calabash Bight and Jonesville, aka "Roatan's Venice". Colorfully painted houses on stilts line the water's edge and locals commute by water taxi to stores, restaurants and even to school. *Other stops or activities can be added to this tour time permitting
- Pick up at specified location - Drive east to Oakridge stopping for photos at several vista points and at a few roadside souvenir stands (optional) - Arrive in Oakridge - Mangrove tour on motorized dory - Stop for lunch - several options available - Drive through the Garifuna community of Punta Gorda with optional stop at the YUBA Garifuna Cultural Center - Return to specified location * Do not hesitate to contact me for a customized tour

Transportation for most of the trip will be in an AC vehicle that can accommodate up to 10 passengers. In Oakridge passengers will board a motorized dory for the tour of the mangroves. This is a 45 min. plus boat ride.
