Guide #64350
Hello, I'm Panagiotis from Western Macedonia, Greece. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Science, specialized in Special Education and Sports at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and possess a Master’s Degree in Sports Marketing Management. Additionally, I am a graduate of the Greek Basketball Coaches School with a Category B coaching diploma. When I'm not guiding tours, I enjoy coaching youth basketball teams, providing therapeutic exercise for individuals with Down syndrome and autism, and serving as a volunteer firefighter. I also have a great love for good food and wine, and I find the process of wine-making to be fascinating. My journey as a tour guide began ten years ago when I started leading tours as a hobby, driven by my passion for sharing the rich history of my hometown. For the past eight years, I’ve been guiding professionally, offering unique insights and experiences to travellers. During the summer months, I conduct tours on the picturesque island of Santorini, known for its stunning sunsets, white-washed buildings perched on cliffs, and crystal-clear waters. In the winter, I guide tours in Western Macedonia, a region just an hour and a half away from Thessaloniki. Here, amidst the rugged mountainous beauty, serene lakes, exquisite gastronomy, and high-quality wines, travellers can immerse themselves in the authentic Greek experience.

Four of us arranged a private tour of Santorini with Panos while visiting the port on a cruise. He met us promptly at the cable car exit in Fira and then spent the next six hours showing us all around the island. He took us to some great scenic views, to Oia, to the monastery at the highest point on Santorini, and, at our suggestion, ended with an hour at Santo Wines...

July 2026Thank you so much for your wonderful review! It was truly a pleasure exploring Santorini with the four of you. I always believe the best tours are the ones where we can adapt to what you enjoy most—and a glass of wine at Santo Wines with that caldera view is always a fantastic choice! I’m so glad you felt like you were exploring the island with a friend. I hope to welcome...

We travel a lot and hire tour guides everywhere we go. Panos is one of the best tour guides. He ensured we understood the process of entries to sites and where to take the best pics away from the crowds. We did all the usual spots in Santorini and what made the tour memorable was the extensive background on culture and history that Panos provided. **My 80yr old dad was...

Panigiotis is an excellent guide with a long historical knowledge of Santorini. He is a native of Santorini. We were able to cover a lot in a very crowded environment; five ships in port. We also enjoyed the visit to the Monastery of Prophet Elias of Thira. The views alone were worth the trip. We finished with a visit to Black Beach and a lovely sea side lunch.

May 2026Thank you so much for your kind words! It was a true pleasure showing you my home island. I am very glad that despite the crowds from the cruise ships, we managed to make the most of our day and enjoy the peaceful views at Prophet Elias and the lunch at Black Beach. I hope to see you again in Santorini in the future!
