I was born in Tallinn and I am Estonian. Since I was a little boy I loved to stroll around in the Old Town and discover exciting places. I spent half of my youth in the Soviet Union times and the other half when Estonia became independent. The history of Estonia has perhaps not been the easiest, but with some good humor you can explain even the most difficult parts. I have travelled a lot myself and it made me understand the value of my homeland even more. Sharing my knowledge of local life is my passion. With me, you would get a personal experience that you'd never get on a regular big group bus excursion. I sure do have lots of knowledge about history and architecture but my strong suit is storytelling about local life. From legends, to historical people, to the everday life of locals. I love traveling, cooking, history and I am mostly a cheerful person. For the past 15 years I have taken care of tailor made small tours in the entirety of Estonia. In May 2026 we had a great private tour for 4 of us in Tallinn with Ivo. He picked us up just outside the cruise port and drove us to several places that tourists might not normally visit, i.e., the coastal route. He also guided us around the Old Town, brought us to a fabulous Chocolate Shop and brought us back to the cruise terminal. He's friendly, his English is...

We had an excellent day in Tallinn with Ivo! We learned a great deal during our visit and saw both the ‘touristic’ areas but also a lovely food hall/market area where we sampled local fruits and a ‘chocolate’ confection that is actually not made from chocolate, but which was made during more difficult times in Estonia and is still sold there.
