Guide #55786
Bonjour! Welcome to Quebec! I was born and raised in a small town just outside the city. From generations of French settlers, my oldest one arrived here in 1664 as a fur trader. During my teenage years, I studied in Albany, New York in an ESL program for two years where I became fluent in English. I have a degree in Education from the Laval University in Quebec City and have been living here since then. I know the city's secrets, love every minute of all its seasons and can't wait to tell you all about it! I have worked in the tourism industry all my life and, I know, if you are looking to book a private tour, you are a curious and interested traveller and I love it! I am a friendly and enthusiastic person and all I want is for you to have the best city tour you ever had. I will customize it to your needs and interests, making sure when we walk around the old city, that you have the impression of being here with those French settlers more than 400 years ago. For me, a city tour is part history and part contemporary. At your pace and preference, we will walk to the monuments and historical sites, we will see and/or walk on the fortifications, experience the Wow of the Château Frontenac, see the murals, the churches, the canons, the architecture and more! We will also talk about the city today, its economy, the way we live, what we like to eat and do for fun, our schools and institutions, and anything else you might have questions about. At the end of our tour, you will be comfortable walking in the old town and you will know what is going on in the city as far as shows, festivals, exhibits etc. . . and the best spots for a drink, for jazz or simply for coffee. You will also have in hand my exclusive preferred restaurant list, mapped out with pricing, comments and phone numbers. Welcome to Québec! It will be my pleasure to share with you my affection and pride for this fabulous city! - In the Travel and Tourism Industry for some 25 years - B.A. in Education - Certified Quebec City tour guide ( Merici College ) - Member of the Quebec City Tour Guide Association - Member of the Quebec City Historical Society - Member of Quebec City Genealogy Society My car, a Lexus UX Hybrid, can accommodate up to 4 passengers. Marie B was amazing! Knowledgeable and accommodating. We went to Île d'Orléans instead of Montmorency Falls which was a much better choice for us. And, of course she drove us through Old Quebec. Great Day! Thank you, Maria B.

Marie was passionate about her city, full of knowledge which she was able to share eloquently. Her English was perfect, no accent. Answered lots of questions. We highly recommend her to anyone looking to experience Quebec. Thank you Marie for a perfect morning!!!!

August 2026Hello Roni, thank you for this review. I enjoyed my tour with you and friends, your interest in the local economy and politics was inspiring. Take care!
We had a large group (15) covering three generations with differing walking abilities. Marie kept the group interested and motivated throughout. Several of the group contacted me after the tour and asked where I found such a knowledgeable guide. I took all the credit.

As first time visitors, Marie was a wonderful guide to give us a great introduction to the city and history of Quebec. A wonderful spokesperson for a city she knows and loves. Very educational and enjoyable.
