Bonjour! Welcome to Quebec! I was born and raised in a small town just outside the city. As a high school student, I studied in Albany, New York for two years where I became fluent in English. I continued my studies in Education here in Quebec City and have been living here since then. I know the city's secrets, love every minute of all its seasons and can't wait to tell you all about it!

I have worked in the tourism industry all my life and, I know, if you are looking to book a private tour, you are a curious and interested traveller and I love it! I am a friendly and enthusiastic person and all I want is for you to have the best city tour you ever had. I will customize it to your needs and interests, making sure when we walk around the old city, that you have the impression of being here with those French settlers more than 400 years ago.

For me, a city tour is part history and part contemporary. At your pace and preference, we will walk to the monuments and historical sites, we will see and/or walk on the fortifications, experience the Wow of the Château Frontenac, see the murals, the churches, the canons, the architecture and more! We will also talk about the city today, its economy, the way we live, what we like to eat and do for fun, our schools and institutions, and anything else you might have questions about.

At the end of our tour, you will be comfortable walking in the old town and you will know what is going on in the city as far as shows, festivals, exhibits etc. . . and the best spots for a drink, for jazz or simply for coffee. You will also have in hand my exclusive preferred restaurant list, mapped out with pricing, comments and phone numbers.

Lets start the day with the discovery of Old Quebec. We'll stroll around Place Royale, Cradle of French Civilization, and nice narrow streets to discover secrets of Quebec, this wonderful Unesco Heritage World site.

I'll make history come alive by telling you anecdotes about people and places we will see on our way such as Chateau Frontenac, Notre-Dame &amp; Holy Trinity Cathedral, Battlefields Park. . .

The journey will also make you feel and taste the superb Isle of Orleans, an entire island that is a designated historical district. This "Enchenteresse Island" will charm you with its scenery while you explore the island's cultural heritage. We will stop at authentic lovely family places so you can savour the island's bounty, and get the opportunity to sample some of their fresh products on the premises. Wine, chocolate and more . .

On our way back, we will take a pause at the splendid Montmorency Falls, 1. 5 time higher than Niagara Falls, where you'll admire a scenic view of the St. Lawrence River

Beauties of Quebec &amp; countryside: Isle of Orleans, Montmorency Falls &amp; Quebec City private tour

On this tour, we will first visit the famous St Anne Basilica where, every year, thousands of pilgrims congregate at the sanctuary. We will walk the inside of the basilica, a beautiful blend of romanesque and gothic style with its Choir, Main Altar and sumptuous canopy. We will also see the the Shrine's first chapel built in 1878 and the life-sized Stations of the cross that stand on the hill behind the Scala Santa.
We will then continue our tour to see upclose the majestic Montmorency falls with its 272 Ft. high waterfall that dominate the landscape, take the cable car and hear the sound of them from the suspended bridge above.
After the falls, we will walk around the city's old town, designated by Unesco. I will share with you why the First Nations people called it '' Where the river narrows ''. We will explore upper and lower town and end at the Notre Dame cathedral with its Holy Door.

Half Day Montmorency Falls, St Anne Basilica and Essential Quebec

In the summer of 1759, Louis died at the Battle of Montmorency against the British army. Mathilda, his fiancé, was desperately grieving. She put on her wedding dress and threw herself down the falls. Her veil, set on the rocks at a short distance and formed small cascade : The White Lady. The White Lady legend is still very much alive at the Montmorency falls. But these falls are much more than a legend.
Higher than the Niagara Falls, we will see them up close and take the cable car to the top at the Montmorency Manor and the suspended bridge.
After the falls, we will drive and walk around the Plaines of Abraham, stop for a quick lunch at Les Cousins, drive and walk around the Citadelle, House of Parliament, Ursuline Monastery, Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Dufferin terrace and old upper and lower town and end with the famous little Champlain street.
I will take you back to your hotel at the end of the tour.
