I was born and raised in Chiapas, Mexico, a place surrounded by natural beauties and indigenous communities. I remember that since I was a little child, I dedicated myself to explore the most beautiful corners of my country: rivers, waterfalls, archaeological ruins and climbing volcanoes. Now my job is to share these experiences with others and to raise awareness in preserving our natural resources.
Life took me to many places, and 4 years ago I decided to move to Playa del Carmen looking for a relaxing life near the beach. It is beautiful to live here, surrounded by culture, cenotes and the most beautiful beaches of Mexico. Since I arrived here I have worked as a tour guide, a very noble work and I love it. I have guided tours to Mayan ruins, underground caves, Mayan communities, jungle tours with activities like canopy, rappel, ATVs and snorkeling.
I have learned a lot about the Mayas, their flora, fauna, medicinal plants. I have even learned to speak their local language Maya Yucateco.
Now I want to share all these life experiences with you through my private tours, taking you to unique places, giving you the best of the Mexican Caribbean in your next vacation!

A Recent Review of this guide
Our family (grandmother, adults, kids ages 11-12) of 9 had a phenomenal time! It rained a lot the week before our tour, but Diego adapted the schedule and took us to another cenote to swim in. It was amazing! Also, his knowledge of Mayan history and interesting facts kept everyone (even the kids) engaged at the ruins. Would highly recommend Diego for anyone interested in these tours!
