I'm from Mexico City, I have been in the area of Cancun and the Riviera Maya (Playa del Carmen and Tulum) for more than 24 years. We'll visit the beautiful archaeological site of Tulum early in the day to avoid crowds and enjoy the amazing landscape of the ancient Maya temples of the late postclassic, built next to the beautiful Caribbean sea on a natural cliff, the most beautiful views of the state of Quintana Roo. We then explore a jewel of the Mayan Riviera beautiful cenote with super crystalline waters below ground where we'll take our snorkeling equipment to explore that beautiful place. You'll find all those rock formations: stalactites, stalagmites and underwater columns, feels like flying at the top of the cave, you will love that part. Enjoy the famous and beautiful Lagoon where we will give a refreshing splash and take many photos (it'll be your Instagram moment). Then my favorite part, lunch time. We'll enjoy a delicious lunch in one of the restaurants of tradition in the beautiful town of Tulum that will satisfy your palate. . . SABROSURA!!!! Lastly, free time for exploring and taking pictures in Downtown Tulum.
Our guides, Saul and Luis, were spectacular. They were kind, funny, and very informed about the history of the places we visited. They were easy to get to know and helped improve our trip to Cancun. It's so nice to have our own private guide and not worry about sticking with a group of 20-30 (or more). I would HIGHLY recommend booking with Saul when you are in Cancun! Looking for an amazing private tour in the Mexican Riviera? Better book Saul! The day started with a 6am pickup at the hotel, a stop for breakfast tacos (which were yummy) and an arrival at the Tulum ruins by 8 am. Saul answered the copious questions from our 2 kids (8&12) during the tour. Then it was as off to the lagoon for a chill swim and lots of amazing photo ops. Next up was lunch in Tulum. The day ended with a tour of a cenote. The whole family crashed in the van on the way home. Awesome day!
