I'm from Mexico City, I have been in the area of Cancun and the Riviera Maya (Playa del Carmen and Tulum) for more than 24 years. I am a terrible seller, and I do not know what else to write to convince you, but one thing I'm sure we're going to have a lot of fun . . . . let's swim in cenotes, make handmade corn tortillas, climb ancient Mayan temples, learn from the original cultures and a few words in the Mayan language, hike in the jungle trails, and bicycles, take many photos and videos (: D for Instagram), swimming and snorkeling in the coral reefs, boat trips through nature reserves (crocodiles, spider monkeys, howling monkeys, flamingos, eagles, etc. ) we go to famous spots for epic photos. Saúl saved our vacation! I had booked the foodie tour for my husband’s 45th birthday and slipped the evening before in the hotel shower, breaking my finger. Not only did we try amazing food, get great gifts, and truly enjoy learning all about Cancun, he took time to take me to the pharmacy. We enjoyed him so much we booked a tour later in the week to the monkey Sanctuary. My son has continued to say that Saúl was the best part of our trip!
Saul was the BEST host for this tour. He picked us up at our hotel (which was a good distance from the tour area) right on time and was very informative on the drive there. We visited the market, where we sampled LOTS of local foods (SO GOOD!!!!) When the listing says no breakfast.... it means, no breakfast! There was SO much food. Taking in the atmosphere of the market and local food stops was amazing, and just the experience we were looking for. Saul tailored the experience once we said we were full and detoured around town taking us to a local ruin site instead of more foodie places. We really appreciated it! We will book again with Saul when we're back in Mexico! Highly recommend!!!
A really good day seeing some highlights of Cancun and experiencing a variety of (excellent) local street food. Both Saul and Luis were fantastic - really friendly and good fun. Easy to talk to, very knowledgeable and well travelled. They adjusted the itinerary for me to see the Quintana Roo museum which was really interesting. The markets were fascinating. And I never realised there were so many varieties of tequilas .. !! 😊 Definitely a private tour is better - but a pity I didn't make it longer. A 5 star experience (just don't eat before the tour!).
Saul was a delightful and fun tour guide. He took us through markets and for tastes of food there were gorgeous and delicious. We spent a week at a nice resort but the food on this tour was my favorite.
We had an amazing day out with Saúl, tasting brilliant food and seeing sights and shops that were exactly what we were looking for. We had some special requests that Saúl catered to perfectly and the whole day was the best tour guiding experience we've had and it felt relaxed, authentic and fun at the same time. Will definitely do another tour the next time we go to Cancun!
Saul helped make our Cancun trip special by going the extra mile every chance he had. We did a food & market tour, snorkeling, & visited a cenote. He provided an all-in experience by including costs at the food market, provided snorkeling gear, knew all the right contacts to find the best cenote, knew where to find good tequila, & knew the right people to find the exact souvenirs we were looking for. He was helpful and even helped us book transportation from the airport. Long story short, Call Saul!
