Hello! My name is Garth, and I’ve been a passionate nature enthusiast since I was young. I’ve spent most of my life exploring the beauty of the outdoors, hiking through stunning landscapes, and camping under starry skies. My deep connection with nature drives my passion for sharing these incredible experiences with others. When I’m not guiding tours, you’ll likely find me hiking new trails, studying Native American & indigenous cultures, camping & creating personal development videos. I believe that nature provides an unmatched sense of peace, and I love helping others connect with the earth in meaningful ways. As a Tour Guide & avid hiker, I’ve been fortunate enough to guide other travellers through some of the most breathtaking areas of Utah and beyond. My journey as a guide began out of a love for the land and a desire to share the magic of our region with people from all walks of life. I offer a variety of nature tours, but my favourite experiences to lead are those that provide an immersion into the beautiful nature that allows people to truly feel connected to the environment. From the stunning red rock formations and hidden mountain trails, to Antelope Island, there’s so much to explore! My tours in Southern & Northern Utah, particularly near Antelope Island, are a unique blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage. I bring a deep respect for the land and share traditional Native American knowledge throughout my tours. Whether you’re marvelling at the wide-open desert skies or learning about the sacred significance of certain landscapes, I strive to offer a truly immersive experience. I aim to help visitors appreciate the richness of this region, from its geological wonders to its cultural depth. Whether you’re seeking a peaceful day of nature or a deeper connection to the history and culture of the land, I’m here to guide you. Together, we’ll create lasting memories while exploring the incredible natural wonders of Utah. I look forward to helping you discover the beauty and spirit of this land.

Combine your trip to the Great Salt Lake with what I consider to be the only way to visit it, which is by going to the beautiful Antelope Island, where you can truly experience nature in its finest form. You can't get to the quiet of the wilderness by simply visiting it near Interstate 80, we need to really go in! You'll soon see discover that this little known island is teaming with wildlife. We will be on the lookout to spot a wild herd of 600 American Bison roaming the island. Amongst the Bison, we'll also keep our eyes open for coyote, bobcat, antelope, porcupine, big-horn sheep, mule deer and, if the season is right, up to 500,000 migratory birds! Besides wildlife spotting, this tour also includes a hike to a panoramic lookout point on the Island, where we could soak in the breathtaking views and maybe even get to watch the sunset. I can't tell you how much I love this place and look forward to sharing it's beauty with you!
·After picking you up, we'll drive to the causeway out to Antelope Island. ·Along our way, we'll get to view some of the millions of birds that migrate through the Great Salt Lake every year. ·Later, we'll drive down the east side of the island, which happens to have virtually no trees, so it's guaranteed that we'll see Bison out in the open! We'll also seek to see Antelope, Coyote, Fox, Badger and Big Horn Sheep. ·Then we'll reach the north end of the island, where we'll step out of our vehicle and begin to hike to an altitude point to view the Great Salt Lake. ·As we trek, there's chances to see more Bison, Antelope and Chukars! ·On arrival, we'll enjoy sweeping 360 degree views of The Great Salt Lake and Great Basin Geology through sage brush and conglomerate rock deposits. An incredible view over looking 200 miles of wilderness for the Sunset is stunning. ·Afterwards, we’ll hike back to the van and drive back to Salt Lake City to be dropped off at the same location you were picked up from.
