Salt Lake City Highlights & Great Salt Lake State Park

Don’t miss out on the quintessential Salt Lake City experience. This half-day driving tour showcases the city’s iconic landmarks and the Great Salt Lake itself. After all, no visit to Salt Lake City is complete without at least seeing the lake close by. Together we'll drive past historical buildings in greater Downtown Salt Lake City, such as the magnificent Utah State Capitol, where we'll stop for a short visit inside. We'll also marvel at the panoramic views of the Salt Lake Valley. Along the way, I'll share Mormon pioneer history and give you insights as to how Salt Lake City became the Gateway to the West and the vibrant metropolitan city it is today. At the Great Salt Lake State Park & Marina, I'll share even more about this body of water, often referred to as “America’s Dead Sea” as we discuss its ecosystem. A walk on the shore is optional, but taking in the sweeping views across the lake is a must!

-The tour will begin with a pick-up at your hotel, after which we'll head towards the Utah State Capitol for a visit. -Afterwards, we'll drive by Temple Square, and continue towards the Union and Rio Grande Station. -Later, we'll take on the Main Street, before driving by South Temple Street mansions. -What follows will be Fort Douglas & U of U campus. -After passing by the City and County Building, we'll go on a 20 minute drive from Downtown SLC to Great Salt Lake State Park & Marina, where we'll walk along the shore or simply take in the views of the lake. -Finally, I'll drop you off back in your hotel downtown.
