Hello and welcome! I'm excited that you found me. It is in our nature to long to experience "awe, " which is what draws us to beautiful sunsets, majestic mountains and cavernous canyons. To be overwhelmed by something greater than ourselves drives us to connect with the expanse of nature. To share these experiences with you is why I guide. A little bit about my background. I am an adventure guide with over twenty years of experience. As an adventure racer, I've journeyed around the world doing some really crazy stuff like racing camels in Morocco, white water rafting in New Zealand, mountain biking through British Columbia and rappelling into icy canyons in Switzerland. As a mountain climber, I've been to the roof of Africa on Mt. Kilimanjaro (19, 341 feet) in 2014, as well as to the highest point in South America—Aconcagua (22, 838 feet) in 2016. I've also trekked to Everest base camp, Machu Picchu and climbed volcanoes in Mexico. Arizona has been my home for the past 15 years. In addition to the Phoenix area, my favorite locations to share with you are Grand Canyon and the red rocks of Sedona. I've guided internationally and throughout the southwest United States for over 20 years. I love creating custom trips to share my passion for Phoenix, Arizona and the great outdoors. Giving you memorable, once in a life time adventures is my goal! Let;s get outside together! Overview of your Phoenix tour
The otherworldly beauty of Sedona has captured the attention of settlers, movie makers, healers, artists, and tourists for centuries. Within Arizona, Sedona is the second most visited destination, exceeded only by the G. Canyon. The towering red rocks punctuated with green vegetation and framed with sparkling blue skies and wispy white clouds will enliven your senses as we explore this magical wonderland. If you've lost your creativity or misplaced your curiosity, you will find both in this landscape of vortexes and natural cathedrals. Having lived in Sedona for 7 years, I am intimately familiar with not only the most popular sites, but also the more remote, hidden gems. Your trip will be tailored to your interests whether those be hiking, exploring the vortexes, shopping for fine art or souvenirs, dining, or wine tasting. With two full days, we will be able to do it all! Sedona will be one of the most amazing places you have ever encountered, and this tour will leave you with life long memories!
Your Phoenix tour itinerary
-Our trip begins at 7:00 in the morning at our mutually agreed upon pick-up location. We will arrive in the Sedona area by 9 am and have a full morning of sightseeing, hiking or other activities prior to lunch. After lunch, we will continue our exploration of the area until we check into our hotel and have dinner. -After a good nights sleep, we will have breakfast and have another full morning of mutually agreed upon activities. If we want to go off-road, the morning of the second day will be for that. After lunch, we will have until 3 pm to visit any remaining must-see locations or do last minute shopping. We will depart Sedona around 3 pm and be back in Phoenix approximately 5 pm. -For off-road adventures we will travel in my 2018 Jeep Rubicon. Please note that maximum trip size would be 4 guests for that type of trip. -Special gear recommendations: I strongly suggest wearing a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen. Good hiking shoes and a day pack for water and lunch is also necessary.
