I have given 120+ tours to TBL customers to date. My passion for the desert southwest and outdoors brought me to AZ after many vacations here. My previous life experience was working in progressive politics. I left the office behind to follow my heart giving personal, up close tours of our desert land in 2006, briefly working for a corporate tour company. Following my experience touring van loads of people, I began offering personal driving tours of the Phoenix area as an alternative to "jamming people into vans" for rushed trips to tourist traps. I prefer offering laid back, unrushed tours of Phoenix/Scottsdale and the Valley as well as "Backroad" adventures to the incredible Apache Trail and other sites that the tour companies can't - or won't go to. My Scottsdale/Phoenix City tour is my most popular & a great introduction to the area. Want a tour with a different drop off? (i. e. Airport Car rental or remote location, etc)? I offer a Custom City Tour to modify to your itinerary/schedule. I look forward to working with you to create a tour to suit your needs! Overview of your Phoenix tour
Welcome to our metropolis in the desert! This is a great introduction to the area, and is one of my most requested tours. Spread across almost 75 miles/120km East - West and North - South, there are many things to see and do here all year. We'll review the rich history of Phoenix & Arizona on our way into Downtown Phoenix, catching the highlights of our beautiful land. We'll proceed to the State Capitol area featuring memorials from the USS Arizona from Pearl Harbor viewable either from the vehicle or via short stroll. Our tour concludes with a stop at Papago Park/Phoenix Zoo/Desert Botanical Gardens area - (Great views of the Valley from this location for pictures!) before going to Old Town Scottsdale to view the shopping/eating & break for food or a more local location if you prefer.

-We'll review Phoenix & Arizona's rich history as we head into downtown to view the Historic District/Heritage square/Arizona Science Center, -the AZ Mining & Mineral Museum with a short stop at the -State Capitol + Veterans Memorial Park area. -Also included is St. Mary's Basilica. •Hard Rock Café & Alice Cooperstown. -Followed by the Phoenix Suns Arena, -Chase Field, -the Herberger Theater and other cultural highlights in Downtown before heading out to the -beautiful Papago Park/Phoenix Zoo/Desert Botanical Gardens Stop Overlook to show you some amazing views of my city & the desert! *Please note that this tour is intended to give an overview/introduction of our city. Museums & other attractions i. e. actual admission to the Gardens have a lot to offer and are best visited when time permits (usually 3-4 hours). If you desire specific information or a custom tour feel free to ask!
