My name is Joe and I truly love living here and showing it all off to friends, visitors, brand-new Georgians, lifetime Georgians, and soon-to-be Georgians. My tours are centered around history, nature, and culture, and all with a perspective that Georgia’s future is so bright because of our incredible diversity, vibrant communities, thriving arts scenes, and breathtaking natural beauty and that we’re here because of the strengths and struggles of those who fought for a brighter future. I’ve been obsessed with learning forever and I hold a master’s degree in Comparative Sociology and a graduate certificate in Education from Florida International University. I’ve been sharing Atlanta’s popular sights and hidden treasures for nearly two decades and I never get tired of seeing peoples’ preconceived ideas about Georgia change and expand. It really is an amazing place to discover. Private, small-group tours through metro Atlanta and beyond, digging into the history, nature, and culture that make this place tick, all through a local lens and with a progressive heart. Whether you're visiting for the first time and want the real Atlanta, you've lived here for years and are ready to fall in love with your city all over again, or you're about to move and need a neighborhood-by-neighborhood tour to find exactly where you belong: I've got you covered. So, let’s get you better acquainted with the Capital of the South!

A full day (approximately 9 hours) exploration of the spectacular North Georgia Mountains about an hour and a half north of Atlanta. This is a driving tour with some walking and light hiking stops with some of the most beautiful vistas in the country. I will pick you up at your home, hotel, or vacation rental in my comfortable Ford Maverick Hybrid and we'll head to Georgia's highest point — Brasstown Bald — to get a soaring view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Then, we'll head to Helen, known as Georgia's Alpine town, and we'll have a hearty German lunch (cost of lunch is not included). If you're feeling extra adventurous, the Georgia Mountain Coaster awaits you here. From Helen, we'll head to super Instagrammable Toccoa Falls and round out the adventure with a gorgeous late afternoon view of Tallulah Falls Gorge.
