I specialize in telling the unique historical stories of Atlanta while focusing on the unique character of Atlanta's fascinating neighborhoods. I find that most people enjoy hearing the intriguing stories about Atlanta's people, especially the ones that made it what it is today. Visitors will like hearing the authentic facts that tie together the threads of Atlanta's past while weaving the quilt of it's future. Visitors want to see Atlanta from a local's point of view. They will see in a short time, what they couldn't possibly experience traveling on their own. You will learn more about those little known neighborhoods that you can't see from the highways or main streets. Visitors will experience and eat at local unique restaurants that few locals even know about. For any visitor considering relocation to Atlanta, you will want to find out more about what unique amenities the city has to offer, like our restaurants, specialty food markets, shopping, schools, parks and recreation. You will be excited about the new Live, Work, Play and Shop concept neighborhoods that are being developed all over Metro Atlanta. I will help you connect the historical dots and give you the best customer service that you will ever experience on a city tour. I can offer you an insider's perspective of Atlanta, while you enjoy riding in the comfort of our limo-like (5) passenger minivan. Overview of your Atlanta tour

On this historical driving tour you will see The Kennesaw Mountain Battlefield and National Park Museum. The fall of Atlanta in 1864 was pivotal in determining the war's outcome. This important Union victory assured U. S. president Abraham Lincoln's reelection and ultimately led to the Confederates defeat. On June 27, 1864, Kennesaw Mountain, located about twenty miles northwest of Atlanta in Cobb County, became the scene for one of the Atlanta campaign's major actions in the Civil War (1861-65). On to Stone Mountain Park to visit the Stone Mountain Confederate Memorial Carving that depicts three Confederate leaders of the Civil War, President Jefferson Davis and Generals Robert E. Lee and Thomas J. "Stonewall" Jackson. A lunch stop (Optional) The Atlanta History Center & Cyclorama. The Big Picture, featuring the fully restored cyclorama painting, The Battle of Atlanta.

Roger is very knowledgeable about civil war history. Living out west we do not have many places locally that are directly connected to the civil war but Roger took a lot of time to share with us about the Atlanta's areas civil war history. Roger was timely, managing the Atlanta traffic smoothly all the while sharing Civil War history with us. He let us off at two designated stops and we were on our own for a while. I think more than the Civil War informantion, the drive back through downtown Atlanta was just as interesting as he told us about some local stories and landmarks and neighborhoods. We enjoyed our day. Thanks Roger!

Roger is absolutely the best guide we have ever had anywhere. His depth of knowledge and understanding of the history of Atlanta and Georgia and the civil war and how it all relates to civil rights and present issues is profound. He connects it all in a way that makes sense and increases understanding of all sides of each issue. We have had 3 tours with Roger and each one has been phenomenal.

Roger was absolutely fantastic! Our family was in town for a college graduation and wanted to take-in a bit of the local history and culture. Wow - did we get lucky with Roger! He was very knowledgeable and customized the tour to the family's interests. For those that are concerned regarding tours and covid please note that Covid protocol didn't hamper this outing in the least! Roger took extra steps to ensure that we received the same information that we would have prior to Covid. A+++++ :)
