I was born in France and am of Algerian origin. I've been a tour guide for 15 years, working in France, Algeria, and for the last 5 years in Oxford, a city I fell in love with. I studied both Art History and Cultural Anthropology in France, specialising in the study of Building Heritage policies and published my research on the emergence of colonial architecture in Algeria. Being a tour guide is more than a job for me, it's a fantastic way of living; I get to meet so many people from so many different backgrounds, whom I would probably never meet otherwise. I get to share my passion for history, art, and architecture and connect with them in a relaxed atmosphere and beautiful settings. I love Oxford because it's a dynamic and cosmopolitan city which offers a wide range of entertaining and cultural activities. I am very much interested in music and the music scene of Oxford is very varied and brings artists from all over the world all year around most of the days of the week. Many of the colleges organize classical concerts in their chapels allyear around. Pubs play also an important role in the development of the local art scene, there is always a performance happening somewhere. When I want a quiet time away from the busy city center, the riverside, with its hidden meadows and swimming spots, accessible within a walking distance from the city center, is for me the perfect getaway. I lived and visited many places around the world but Oxford remains my favorite. It has an organic and architectural beauty, I would say a mystical beauty that has a profound effect on me. I am more than happy to include relaxation or and meditation session anytime during my tour.
