We'll explore its history and walk around its large defences, built to protect the castle during the English Civil War. We then travel the Wessex Downs National Landscape - tranquil, hilly countryside offering sweeping, scenic views. Pass prehistoric White Horse and the famous Stone Circle of Avebury. And on to Corsham Court, a privately owned a Stately Home with a famous art collection and significant Gardens. Or Bowood Estate and its rich and fascinating history. A stunning Georgian House, home to the Lansdowne family, set within 100 acres of beautifully landscaped ‘Capability’ Brown Parkland.
