I've been a guide since 1996, when I started working as a tour director in different European countries. In the year 2000 I got my license as a local guide at Cantabria, region in Northern Spain. With my license I can guide at Santander, Santillana Del Mar, Comillas and all the charming villages in the area. I speak fluent English and Italian, also French and Portuguese. In the last years I've became more and more interested in Art, specially Prehistory, as Cantabria is one of the most important places in the world to enjoy Paleolithic Art, including 10 caves which are World Heritage Sites. Other interests are gastronomy and nature, I invite you to know the best places and enjoy the real taste of Northern Spain! I can adapt the tours to your special interests or desires, just let me know. My aim is my guests to live an unique experience; I'll be happy to meet you and show you my home. License as a Local Guide at Cantabria. License allowing me guiding Santander's cathedral. I'am allowed to guide at Altamira Museum, Santillana Del Mar church and Gaudi's Capricho building. The law at Spain doesn't allow me to drive passengers, that must be done by a professional driver with an special license. I can arrange tours with a hired car and driver.

From my experience as a local guide, many foreign visitors don't know much about Santander beyond the famous Bank! This is what I love more about showing my birthplace: is the pleasant surprise it suppose for our guests. Let me help you discover the city's history from the earliest Roman village, to the splendour as the most important port of Castile. I'll show you the Highlights of the city, but also my secret corners. Of course, we'll see the first building of Santander Bank, one of the icons of the city. Facing the bank headquarters, we will find the modern Botín Centre designed by the architect Renzo Piano, from where we will enjoy the best views in the town and you can shoot amazing photos! While walking together at the charming Sardinero quarter, with its beaches, the Casino and the Royal Palace of la Magdalena, we will be able to feel the "Belle Epoque" atmosphere when, at the early 20th century, Santander became the summer destination for the Spanish Royal family and social elites Ready?
