Start you adventure by meeting your guide at your downtown hotel (or recommended pickup location) and travel in an air conditioned vehicle towards country side roads in Small Carpathians wine region. On your route you will learn about Slovakian s fascinating history and hear about the long and rich wine tradition. The first stop is in Pezinok where you will see and learn about traditional Slovak folk majolica pottery Centre all crafted by hand and hand painted then we move on to see marvelous Red Stone Castle which is one the most romantic castles of Slovakia with magnificent cellars.
The next visit is a small historical town Modra which is famous for being the birthplace of Slovakian national hero Ludovit Stur, who fought for the autonomy of Slovakia in the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Stur also had a significant influence on the revival of the Slovak language and introduced the Slovak language standard. Then we move to Pezinok, which is the capital city of Slovak wine production and enjoy little Carpathian wine museum. After the museum we stop at typical Slovak restaurant for a lunch to recharge our battery. The tour continues in an immersive Carpathian wine tasting session, where you will have the opportunity to savor a selection of up to 6 of Slovak wines red, white or rose and local snacks in private wine cellar. Throughout the wine tasting with local wine expert will share his expertise and passion for wine making, providing valuable tips on what to look for in terms of flavours and aromas, and explaining the intricate details of the wine making process for each wine.
