Kia Ora My name is Robbie and I would love to show you around my home. Except for periods overseas travelling, working on camps in America and working on cruise ships, I have lived here since I was two. It is a fantastic little city - named by Lonely Planet as "the Coolest Little Capital in the World" - with a beautiful harbour, easy to walk around and home to a thriving movie industry (of which I have been a part, working on 14 movies to date). Whenever my overseas friends visit I enjoy taking them on a "tiki-tour" around Wellington; around the Bays, up to Mt Victoria for a scenic view or, time permitting, up to the Brooklyn Windmill. If a walking tour in town is preferred, there's Te Papa Museum, the Cable Car up to the Botanical Gardens, the iconic Beehive and shopping on Lambton Quay. I am happy to adapt the itinerary and times as necessary. A small city by world standards - only 400, 000 population - but with a vibrant theatre and nightlife if that's what you're into, Wellington is also the southernmost capital in the world and the gateway to the South Island via the Cook Strait ferry. Nau mai, haere mai. Come and visit and let me show you my home. 8/7/19 PLEASE NOTE: Due to my "normal" work commitments, as of July 2019, I will need to have at least one month's notice before booking a Tour, particularly in summer. If you are wanting to book within that time-frame, please message me to check my availability. Thank you. I have lived in Wellington most of my life and I love the city. I have been fortunate to have been involved as an extra in a number of films made in Wellington's thriving movie - including the Lord of the Rings trilogy and King Kong. I have an NZTA issued Passenger Endorsement for my Driver's Licence, as well as my Private Hire Registration. I have also recently had my First Aid certificate renewed. I have recently worked for a year and a half on cruise ships based in England, during which time I enjoyed going on tours with passengers as often as I could.

For a morning private tour, we will meet at 9:30 at your cruise ship drop-off point, at the Wellington Railway Station, or at your other desired location. We will work our way down the picturesque and historic Waterfront stopping at the many points of interest and the various Museums. The tour will finish at Te Papa Museum at 12:30 pm. For an afternoon tour, we will meet at Te Papa at 1:00pm and work our way back down the Waterfront to Wellington Railway Station. Highlights of the Tour include parts of the Wellington Writer's Walk, the Museum of Wellington (optional), Frank Kitts Park, and Civic Sq.
Most morning tours will start at the Railway Station, your Cruise drop-off point, or any other convenient location, and most afternoon tours will start at Te Papa and go in reverse. (This is specifically designed for Cruise passengers to get them back to their ship on time, but I can start afternoon tours at the Railway Station too if you prefer. ) From the starting location, we will be walking down the beautiful Wellington Waterfront, passing the Waterfront's historic Sheds. After a brief visit to Post Office Sq, we will have an hour's break during which time you can visit the nearby Museums and Galleries (not all are open on weekends), or just stop for refreshments. After the hour, we will continue down the Waterfront, through Frank Kitts Park then over the City To Sea Bridge into Civic Sq. After spending a few minutes there, we will head back over to the Waterfront and continue on to Te Papa where the tour will finish but, if you want to, I would highly recommend a visit inside.

Tour is all walking. The tour itself is 3 hours long, but there is a space of one hour during which you can visit nearby Museums or take a refreshment break.
