A true local, I was born and bred in Wellington and grew up on western hills above Petone, a suburb on the northern edge of beautiful Wellington Harbour. After studying at the University of Otago, Dunedin, I lived and travelled throughout Asia where I learned what creates a great adventure holiday experience. Upon my return to Wellington, I founded my own small group tour company to make it easier for tourists to experience the local sights and flavours of the fascinating Wellington region. I have a passion for food, beer and wine and many of my tours focus around the wonderful local producers in the region. I'm also a keen sports fan with a particular obsession with cricket! With extensive local knowledge and experience I'm able to tailor tours to suit each and every guests particular interests and requirements! 10 years as an owner/operator of a local small group tour business Wellington Sustainable Tourism Programme 2021 None

Travel in comfort in a private vehicle whilst enjoying expert commentary from me, your professional, local driver guide! Take in the spectacular scenery as your drive around the western edge of Wellington harbor, up the Hutt Valley and over the Remutaka Ranges up to 550m at the summit. In the Wairarapa we will visit the amazing Martinborough winery region, home of world class pinot noirs and enjoy tastings at three of the artisan boutique wineries. Martinborough is a quaint township in which I spent much of my youth with extended family and where I have been running winery tours for more than 8 years. Over that time I have developed extensive knowledge of the region and fostered close relationships with many of the winemakers and cellar door staff so I invite you take advantage of these relationships and with me create a customized winery experience to match your palette! Tour itinerary is customizable with different winery options as well as an artisan deli and cheese factory available en route.
- You will depart Wellington and follow the Hutt River along the Hutt Valley and over the Remutaka Ranges with a sightseeing stop at the Summit. - Descend into the Wairarapa region where you will visit three of the region's best wineries where cellar door staff will introduce a variety of their wines which you may sample at your discretion. Martinborough is famous for it's pinot noir but rest assured there is a fantastic range of varietals available at each location. - The tour returns to Wellington via the same route. * Tour itinerary allows for a customized selection of wineries to meet your interests and preferences. * Lunch is not included but time allowance a made for vineyard lunch at the guests' expense. It is recommended that this is booked in advance which I'm happy to facilitate.
