Hi there, I'm a young at heart, 3 score plus a little bit more female and have lived all my life in the Bay of Plenty. I enjoy meeting people from all walks of life. We have so much to offer within this area, from a working gold-mine, bush walks, spectacular natural scenery, geothermal activity through to being in the heart of the kiwifruit and avocado growing-region with a few wineries dotted in between. Personally I've completed a business studies degree majoring in tourism and I'm mad about all genre of music. I've travelled abroad to visit friends and family several times and have particularly enjoyed those out-of-the-way experiences that only the locals know about. I drive a limo spec BMW 7 series which is particularly spacious or for a further touch of class come riding in my 1979 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow which is subject to availability! I'm passionate about the area I live in and welcome the opportunity to show it off. I've completed a business studies degree majoring in tourism. I hold a Passenger Service Operator's Licence together with a passenger endorsement (P) on my driver's licence. I also have a First Aid certificate

We set off over the Kaimais where on a clear day you can enjoy spectacular views of both the Waikato and Bay of Plenty districts, ending up in Matamata where we enjoy a tour of the Hobbiton Movie set and Farm from the Lord of the Rings trilogy. From December 2023 onwards you can not only experience a Hobbit village, you can also enter a Hobbit house. Then, depending on time left we can drop in for a drive around McLarens Falls park &/or travel several different routes back to your cruise ship. NB Please note that you will need to book Hobbiton tickets online yourself. You need to allow AT LEAST 2 HOURS from your docking time to comfortably get across to Hobbiton in time and 90 minutes to get back to the port. If you are unsure about any of this please contact me prior to making your booking
Julie is professional and knowledgeable. She responded quickly to my emails and helped me to arrange a visit to Hobbiton movie set. Without her help, I was not sure if I was able to make it. My daughter and I had a great time at the movie set. Knowing that we were tired of walking (after the movie set tour), Julie drove us around town for sightseeing. The best part was seeing a tranquil vibrant park with a crystal-clear waterfall. Thanks again Julie for a wonderful day.
Julie was a wonderful guide! She gave us good advice on what time we should book our Hobbiton tour tickets. We were met promptly at the wharf gate and whisked away for our Middle Earth adventure. On the way we drove through a lovely park. The Hobbiton tour was everything I hoped it would be—magical. I had mentioned that we needed to access a n ATM, and Julie made that happen on the way back to the ship. We arrived well before sailing time after a wonderful day.
Talk about flexible! Julie worked with us to schedule just the right tour to fit our time in port. She was prompt in reply and so easy to tour with! Highly recommend Julie!
Julie was so patient with our cruise ship taking a long time to clear. Very communicative and responsive. She knew when to book our Hobbiton tickets. Very knowledgeable and showed us extra after our visit was done. Very personable and would book again.

- I will pick you up at 8:00 or a time suitable to you. - It's just over an hour's drive over the Kaimais to Matamata. You may like a coffee break at Hobbiton before you head off on your tour there. - Allow up to 2. 5 hours for this tour & note there is a cafe there for morning tea/lunch/snacks - We can include a drive through McLaren's Falls Park either before Hobbiton or after depending on your tour time and then through Tauranga City CBD before heading back to your cruiseship.
