I am Wendy and I will be your Shore Excursion tour guide - a born and bred true "Kiwi" and very proud of my country! I have been tour guiding for 11 years and grew up in this lovely part of the world. As a child we went on family holidays to the beach in our caravan, spending all day swimming, fishing and exploring nature. I am sure my mother had many anxious moments waiting for our return. I now enjoy riding my Electric bike on the many bike trails within NZ, walking my dogs and eating good food. I left NZ in my early 20's to travel and have world experiences. Always looking to see where I would like to settle down, the desire was to return to NZ and show people a small part of my country by offering Shore Excursions private tours. As a tour guide I will take you to my favourite sights and places off the beaten track. I am a great story teller and enjoy sharing my tales of New Zealand to create lasting memories for you to take home. Come with me on a day of exploration and sightseeing as we tour in my backyard. . . . . . . . The Stunning Bay of Plenty …. with inviting Beaches, Geothermal Activity, Maori Culture, Hobbiton and warm friendly people. We seem to have it all. My tours are flexible and I will work in with your preferences for your day out. We can have an action packed day or take a more leisurely pace ensuring you arrive back at your ship on time. I look forward to welcoming you on board my VW air conditioned van for a day of exploring. I hold a NZ Passenger Service Operators Licence and my van has a NZ safe service certificate. I have traveled extensively though out the world and hold a Teaching English Certificate. No Restrictions

We leave our stunning beaches to head over the Kaimai ranges into the Waikato. Known as one of the richest pastoral areas of the world. This is a number 1 attraction and a must see if you are a Lord of the Rings fan. Enjoy a 2. 5 hour guided movie set tour and quench the thirst with an Ale or Ginger beer in the Green Dragan Inn. The magic and unequivocal beauty of this original sheep farm makes the trip a must. You don't need to have seen the movies to enjoy the whole Hobbiton experience. There are little hobbit houses and gardens weaving through Hobbit paths, all left from the original movie set for the public to enjoy. Learning and experiencing how a movie is made makes your day become the magic of Hobbiton and I never tire of visiting this special place.

A fantastic tour with a fantastic guide. Wendy went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful excursion from start to finish. She was cognizant of all participant’s wants and desires and provided for a supremely personalized experience. I recommend Wendy without hesitation. Our tour with Wendy to Hobbiton was great. Since we were on a cruise ship we had to be back onboard at a specific time and Wendy was extremely accommodating. Wendy picked us up right outside the port at 7 AM. Along the route to/from we made a few stops to take pictures (which we love to do). She is an experience tour guide with knowledgeable interesting information about the area. We highly recommend visiting Hobbiton and letting Wendy be your driver and local tour guide.

This was a bucket list tour for us. Wendy was wonderful and made it a very special day! Great conversation and New Zealand facts on our drive. Was so sweet and brought us local fruit and honey to try. Never had a golden Kiwi before...delicious! She was very conscientious about watching the time, so we didn't have to worry about not making it back to our cruise ship on time. Took that worry out of the trip for us! Would highly recommend her and this tour. A delightful person!

VW Caravelle 8 person Van with opening double sided doors for easy access and good air flow when open. The van is also air conditioned for extra comfort. I pride myself on keeping the van up to a high standard of cleanliness to ensure my guests comfort. There is a supply of water, hand sanitizer and face masks in case you have mislaid yours during the day.
