Kia Ora, welcome my name is Stephen and have been living in Tauranga for the past 10 years and providing tours through our beautiful area most of that time. My wife Amanda and our beautiful 3 daughters keep me full of life and on the go when I am not meeting and traveling with our distinguished guests. Personally I love meeting new people and conversing with them in all roles. When not on tour myself I also work at Hobbiton Movie Set where I am a tour guide and bus driver. Absolutely love the environment there, the movie set never gets old and I just adore being outdoors in such majestic countryside. So, if I were to pick my favorite option it would have to be our Hobbiton Tour, followed closely by Ziplining in the Mamaku Forest (Rotorua). I love being on the road, driving, and the conversation with new friends from here and abroad. What I provide; what my tour service provides, is that little extra to make your day feel valued and respected. Your time, your interest, and your family are important to me. I endeavor to treat all my guests as my own family and ensure all possible comforts are provided. What you will find with me and traveling with me is: - A personal tour guide and tour experience - The opportunity to make the day your own, through customization and special requests - Modern European vehicles chosen for their safety and comfort - Extra's refreshments and Wi-Fi provided - Sanitation, Hygiene, and Sanitary provisions within our vehicles Travel with me, and you will be looked after wherever possible. I assure to treat you like family and appreciate your decision to travel with me during your time in Tauranga and the Surrounding areas. I hold a PSL which is a license issued by the NZ Ministry of Transport to provide and operate a passenger-based transport service (a legal requirement in New Zealand). I also hold a valid driver's license to take passengers - an endorsement requiring police screening and medical examination every 5 years. I hold certification in Horticulture with Fruit Production which is a strong industry here in the Bay of Plenty - providing vast global consumption of Kiwifruit and other fruit types and products. I do not have any restrictions in regard to my guiding, I can offer a full range of experiences

Your Private Tour will start with a comfortable drive along Pilot Bay and proceed along the wonderful Mount Maunganui beach - our Eastern Coastline. Visiting McLaren Falls Park you will see native New Zealand fauna, a lovely waterfall and a variety of wildlife including some native birds. With a lake setting this 190-hectare park truly is a magical place to visit and appreciate the New Zealand landscape. As a trained and current Hobbiton Tour Guide, we shall continue to my second home. Making our way to The Shire, home of Bilbo Baggins his nephew Frodo and 300 of their family and friends. Your Hobbiton journey with me would not be complete without our actual set props and additional behind-the-scenes information. Once our journey through Hobbiton is complete, we shall make our way back to where our day began. Refreshments shall be provided during your journey with me in a modern European Vehicle. Group sizes from 1 person to 18 people. Children's seats are available upon request.
Wonderful tour! Stephen met us on time and was a wonderful guide. He was very organized and had the tickets waiting for our hobbiton tour. He was very informative about the area. Of course, we were most excited about the Hobbiton tour. Stephen had lots of insider knowledge about the area and will answer all your questions. Highly recommended!!
Stephen was great, very knowledgeable about the area. We could not get tickets to Hobbitton but he was able to find four for us. Clean nice vehicle as well. Had snacks for us (the plums were very good). Highly recommend him as a tour guide. Kirk
Stephan was wonderful. We started our day by going to Hobbiton. After a fantastic tour Stephan drove us to McLaren Falls. We took a hike to some falls. Stephan was so informative about the area. He also provided water and snacks. Our day was perfect.

Excellent tour. Stephen could not have been more helpful, including providing amazing snacks. He has encyclopaedic knowledge of Hobitton and gave us a great recommendation to go to the Spellbound Caves. All 5 of us agreed it was a fantastic day out.
Excellent tour! Stephen was friendly, full of good local knowledge and flexible. He provided each of us a snack bag with local treats. His insider knowledge on Hobbiton was very helpful. And the extra stops on the tour were all excwllent - especially McLaren Falls park.

Depending on where our day starts (collection from where you are staying) we will explore the Mount Maunganui area and make our way through Tauranga toward McLaren Falls Park. McLaren Falls Park a 190 Hectares boasting a beautiful lake, native fauna and two waterfalls is a magical place with a variety of birdlife and fish - primarily Trout. We shall stop here for refreshments and enjoy the views of the lake while we have Swanns, Geese, and Ducks roaming nearby. Continuing your journey to The Hobbiton Movie Set. 'Hobbiton' you will experience their new and improved tour with full immersion in a Hobbit Hole & complimentary Hobbit Brew at The Green Dragon Inn. This is a 2. 5 hour fully guided tour with an experienced Hobbiton Guide. Once we have concluded our time at Hobbiton the journey back to where our day started shall begin. With a stop along the way to take in breathtaking views of the Piako Plains. Our day shall conclude where it began.
