Ahmed did a great job of coordinating our stopover in Morocco. He has a very nice/comfortable Mercedes van, and lined up great guides for us in historic areas where he was not licensed to provide guide services.

My name is Ahmed, and I'm a Berber native of the desert south east of Morocco. I was born and raised in a small village in the desert. My family were nomads, but when the oldest of my brothers reached school age, they decide to settle in that village for the reason of being in school. I started guiding tourists in my desert when I was a little boy and upon early adulthood, after my primary school finished, I moved to the nearest big town to continue my schooling. I got my baccalaureate degree and 2 years of Tourism Professional school to become a licensed guide. I'm Certificated as a tour guide by the Ouarzazate Tourism Institute for guides training. After my training finished, I started as a tour guide in Morocco with clients of different agencies for several years. Now, its with great pleasure that I'm with Toursbylocals Team. Exceptional day with your local guide to visit one of the most lovely cities in Morocco in an authentic way, a beachside small welcoming place, with spectacular weather of this city. Before reaching Essaouira, you will have some exceptional moments on the road like seeing the goats who know how to climb up and down on the Argan tree and optional visit for Berber Women Argan Oil Cooperative. Arriving in Essaouira, we'll discover the History of Essaouira old port: a hotchpotch of Portuguese, African and Arabian influences. Stroll along the harborside and view the Skala fortress with its wave-lashed ramparts and cannons. Visit the medina and municipal market, and explore the jeweler's quarter and a handicrafts complex of Essaouira's artistic heritage. You will have free time to get your lunch and to stroll in Essaouira. Feel free to explore this city and to buy a few souvenirs such as the wooden pieces made only in Essaouira.

Ahmed is personable, intelligent, interesting and organize, balancing life between his native Berber village/city life in Marrakesh. Incredibly interesting stories. Our trip to Essouira was everything we could have hoped--great driver/car, women's argan oil cooperative with a special guide there who was excellent (Samia) and then, after a seaside lunch (which was included!) Rashida in the old medina and seaport of Essouira was also excellent. Ahmed answered all our questions, went out of his way
