He took us to places we never would have discovered on our own and made us feel like we were traveling with an old friend. Mo is incredibly knowledgeable about the area, genuinely kind, and exceptionally thoughtful. He anticipated our needs, kept us hydrated, and struck the perfect balance between guiding us and letting us explore at our own pace. We truly couldn't have asked for a better guide. As first-time visitors to Morocco, Mo made our trip unforgettable and left us eager to come back again and again. Morocco is a beautiful country filled with wonderful people, and Mo is a native who embodies the warmth, hospitality, and generosity that made our visit so special. After touring the market/medina with Mohammed the night before, we came back the next day for a full day tour. Once again, Mohammed was awesome! Everything you expect from a TBL guide - knowledgeable, fun, no wasted time. He would have us buzz around lines to the front as an official guide (yes there are differences between guides and drivers). The tour was as described. But please note...if you want to see the gardens you must have pre-paid passes (it fills up quickly)..so coordinate with your guide in advance. 'Mo" advised us...we bought the tickets early...no problem (you don't want to miss them).

We had an exceptional experience with Mohamed as our tour guide in Marrakech. He guided our family of four—ranging in age from 75 to 26—through two tours in the same day, and his service was outstanding from start to finish. Mohamed was incredibly accommodating to our needs, making sure everyone felt comfortable and engaged throughout the day. His knowledge of Marrakech is impressive, and he shared insights in a way that was both informative and enjoyable. He also took absolutely stunning photos for us, which made the experience even more memorable. On top of that, he speaks both Spanish and English perfectly, which made communication seamless. Mohamed is kind, professional, and truly passionate about what he does. We highly recommend him to anyone visiting Marrakech—you will be in excellent hands!

Mohamed's excellent communication prior to our arrival gave us trust and confidence. It was our first visit to Morocco and it felt great to know we would be in such good hands. When we actually met, it was like meeting an old friend. Mohamed is simply the best tour guide we ever had. He was flexible and knowledgeable and had great pride in his heritage, as he gave us the most wonderful introduction to Marrakech. He understood our interests and made sure the tour was everything we wanted. And his humor and hospitality were more than we could have hoped for. Marrakech was definitely the highlight of our trip, though it was only a two day visit. We packed in a lot, but never felt rushed. His continuous kindness and patience were comforting and much appreciated. We just had so much fun and now have the best memories. I don't see how our short visit to Marrakech could have been nearly so wonderful if we had not had Mohamed. We saw and learned so much, enjoyed every minute of it and hated to say goodbye. (Plus the day after our tour we got a little lost, though we were close to our Riad, and a quick reply from Mohamed got us back on track.) If you are debating whether or not Tours By Locals with Mohamed is worth it, we assure you it is. We have friends who want to go to Marrakech and we're telling everyone to book a tour. Mohamed was a great tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and gave us a great overview of Morocco as a country and its beautiful culture. His tour was thoughtful and well planned out, making sure that we were walking around when the temperature was comfortable, and inside or shady routes when the weather was warmer. His full day tour was comprehensive and taking us to all the important, historic locations in Marrakech, including a wonderful, peaceful lunch spot. He was accommodating and flexible when we took detours to do some shopping. We would definitely consider touring with him in the future! We highly recommend his tour!
