Today, is a uniqe day trip from Fes to the well-preserved Roman ruins in Volubilis, which once served as the capital of the Kingdom of Mauretania, near by enjoy a panoramic view of the holy city of Moulay Idriss Zarhoun, then head to Meknes to explore this imperial city, visit the main historical sites , also you will learn about the two specialities only found in this imperial city - Damascene and embroidery-. End the tour by visiting the Mausoleum of the king Moulay Ismail before you head back to Fes.
Pick up at 9:00 am from Fes accommodation. Head out to explore Volubilis, the impressive and well-preserved Roman ruins, not to mention spectacular mosaics. ( It's a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the most important Roman site in North Africa). Next, back to the car to pass by the holy city of Moulay Idriss, perched dramatically against the slope of Mount Zerhoun, and immerse yourself in the dramatic landscape of Morocco. Head towards Meknes to explore this ancient imperial city , Discover the historical sites such as the impressive ramparts, monumental gates, and the Mausoleum of the King Moulay Ismail. During this excursion, we'll have a break for lunch wherever it is convenient. Once the tour is over, drive back to your Riad or Hotel in Fez. customize itinerary
