Come and enjoy a day of discovery with me! My goal is for you to have an amazing experience and learn a thing or two about our beloved Mexico, so you can tell the folks back home they can come and visit, too! Mexico is a place of wonders, where surrealism is genetically coded into its culture. This country is a great place to collect memorable experiences, have fun, and learn about one of the world's most diverse places. SO CLOSE, YET SO DIFFERENT!!! I have worked extensively in the Country, both as a tour guide and as an advisor for many rural communities. Whether its the wine country, Ensenada City, or it's natural surroundings you'd like to visit, I'm here to get you there and make it count! I was part of the editorial specialists in the first Accreditation for Specialized Guides in Adventure and Ecotourism back in 1994, which would later become the official NOM-09-TUR-2002 of SECTUR (Mexican Secretary of Tourism). Became accredited by the Federal Ministry of Tourism as Professional Guide in Environmental, Nature and Adventure Tourism (1999). I edited two of the Alternative Tourism Fascicles for SECTUR. I have designed and facilitated courses in many rural communities for the Natural Protected Areas and the National Forest Mexican Commissions, among others.

From Valle de Guadalupe wine country to Guerrero Negro whale breeding coastal lagoons, Baja California is loaded with natural wonders and historical sites that will give you a whole new perspective: You will experience wine tasting at the vineyard, follow ancient paths where Jesuit and Dominique missionaries first tried to evangelize local Kumiai, Pa Ipai and Kiliwa native inhabitants and witness the arrival of gray whales coming all the way from Alaska, after swimming for more than 4, 000 miles to give birth to a one ton baby whale! Whales are incredibly friendly, some of them love to be pet and promote their young to approach cheerful boats. Bird watching is also a great activity, as is walking through beautiful semi-desert landscapes loaded with granite rocks and hidden cave paintings. An optional tour in the largest salt mining company in the world will surely make you see Baja California like never before. . . The experience concludes with a 2-hour flight back to the city of Ensenada. . .
Day 1. From San Diego/Tijuana, travel along scenic Highway #1 towards Valle de Guadalupe and its famous vineyards, stopping at a Kumiay native community to receive a very special blessing. The day ends with BajaMed's exquisite cuisine and world-class wines. Day 2. Hike along coastal volcanoes and its surrounding wetlands. Witness a successfull initiative of local fisherman as they drabble urchins, lobsters and sea cucumbers. Day 3. Hike and wonder through the granitic boulders of Cataviña, a true garden of cacti and cave paintings. If time permits, visit a pronghorn reserve, fastest creature on the American Continent. Day 4. After an early breakfast its time to pet some whales, visit the largest salt mine in the world. If weather permits, optional afternoon birdwatching or second whale tour. Day 5. Aircraft back to Ensenada, flying over the spectacular coast of Baja California. Choose either to go back to San Diego or enjoy Ensenada for a few more days.
