Mexican Guide and Photographer Educated at the Universidad Nacional de Artes Plásticas in Mexico, my major is in Visual Arts, required that I took classes in all mediums, but always knew that guiding people thru my beloved Mexico was my passion. Now, I am a freelance guide in the Mexican's Wine country, having 12 years experience in Mexico and over 5 countries. I am Wine, Extreme sports, Mexican history, Shopping unic Mexican craftings, and Nature guide. Most of my guiding has been focused on outdoor adventures, tourist destinations, wine's industry and historic sites. I have also been hired as a freelance guide for mountain bicycling in Germany (Bavarian Country) and Spain (Balearic Island), in Mexico: Cancun, Cozumel, Hisla Mujeres, Los cabos, Loreto, La Paz, etc. Since boyhood, I had a passion for observing and recording the natural world and the people who inhabit it. During my teenage years, my interest in people and the wild was a consuming one, but it would be 8 years later before I picked up a camera in order to combine photography with guiding people. During the intervening years, I worked in various outdoors sports-related jobs such as water sports and rock climbing. I was attracted to these careers because they were risky and dangerous. They also taught me, first hand, how to capture the intense beauty of man in the outdoors. Later, as I matured, I developed techniques for portraits and weddings while living in Chicago, Boston and LA. Today, I devote more time to my own Guest House in Ensenada, Mexico. BD.Lic. Explore Mexico’s top wine region — Valle de Guadalupe. This tour includes transportation and a bilingual local guide (me!) to lead you through stunning landscapes and hidden gems. Visit two iconic wineries: L.A. Cetto and Casa Magoni, home to one of the valley’s most respected winemakers. 🍷 Wine tastings are not included, but you can add one, two, or three depending on your preferences. Also enjoy a visit to an artisan olive oil mill with local cheese and salsa samples, and a traditional Mexican lunch with dishes like chiles rellenos and pumpkin flower soup. 🚗 The tour is designed for 4 guests, but if your group is larger, no problem — just let me know and I’ll provide updated pricing. 📩 DM me to plan your perfect wine day!

Martin was a wonderful guide to the flavors of Valle de Guadalupe. He picked us up just outside of the cruise terminal in the morning. We had some coffee, tasted cheese and then went to the olive oil press and farm. After that wine tasting at Sol y Barro was lovely. We tasted seven amazing wines and met the owner. Lunch at Lupita Rubio was tasty and authentic. Martin was interesting and knowledgeable as well as being flexible about what we wanted to do. I would definitely choose to tour with him again.
Martin was truly amazing! He and I coordinated maximizing our one day on our cruise stop to ensenada to fit in all the things our family wanted to do including lunch at Fauna, which for any foodie is the best meal you'll probably ever have! Traveling with three young children while wanting to experience great food and wine is always a challenge but he made it truly a pleasure. We can't wait to visit again with more time for him to show us more of this amazing town!
Our group was visiting Valle De Gaudalupe for the first time so we wanted a knowledgeable guide who could help us appreciate the amazing food and wine of this region. We could not have done better than Martin! He is INCREDIBLE. He taught us about the area's history and what makes this place so special. His passion was contagious, and we are planning a trip back. Martin is so open and warm, answering our many questions and sharing lots of his personal history and experiences. Although we had just met, it felt like we traveling with a friend. He went above and beyond to plan many thoughtful touches and experiences, including a birthday surprise for me at one of our stops. I highly recommend this experience, but honestly ANY tour hosted by Martin will be well worth it. Martin, it was a genuine pleasure spending the day with you and we look forward to seeing you again soon!
