Hello :) I am 100% Ensenadense (from Ensenada) and I'd love to show you around! I have over a decade of experience as a tour guide in Ensenada, Baja California, and Baja California South: from north to south of the peninsula, I love it, it's a great place to grow up in!! :) In Ensenada, you can go from any activity in the ocean to the mountains on the same day. We have great local food, wine, beer, and shopping areas. Any combination of a tour that you would like, I could arrange. I worked here as a guide in the city, kayaking, hiking, whale watching, wine tasting, and experiencing the great La Bufadora natural phenomenon, as well as made road trips along the whole Baja Peninsula. Besides this, I recently studied to be a Specialist in Environmental Management, so you can expect a tour with different emphasis, as you would like, I can adapt to your preferences. I'm sure I will enjoy showing the nature surrounding the city of Ensenada to you! I have certifications from the Baja California Tourism Secretariat as an alternative tour guide as well as the necessary Credentials from them to work as a guide. I have certifications from National Outdoors Leadership School (NOLS) in Kayak, Low Mountain Hiking, Leave No Trace and Wilderness First Responder training. I have an an Instructor Level 1 and a 2-star certification from BCU (British Canoe Union) I have First Aid training by Red Cross. Drivers license. None.

Enjoy and make your own sauce and tortillas from scratch, with a local chef in a restaurant at a ranch that has a bio-cultural gastronomy project. On this tour, you'll learn more about the local products of this wine and cheese route, that's part of Ensenada's Unesco Creative City of Gastronomy designation. This will all take place around a beautiful natural environment, where some of the products you will prepare and eat are obtained from! Get your hands dirty by making part of your own lunch with a rancher's flavour and take away the best tips you can get to cook when you return home! The full meal will consist of a goat meat that we call barbacoa, with juice and/or coffee, (we have other options in case you don’t eat goat meat or are vegetarian). Once we've enjoyed our lunch and we're heading back to Ensenada, we could even stop by a local store to taste or buy the Real del Castillo local cheese to take some back home with you!
*(It is advisable that you have breakfast before the tour). * -We'll start after a morning pickup from either your hotel, the cruise port or the Ventana al Mar Park. -We'll head to the hidden east valley, on highway 3 which would roughly take around 40 minutes depending on the traffic. If you'd like to get some snacks along the way, we could always stop by a store for that. -We'll then arrive to the Shawy restaurant on the well-known cheese route countryside, a locally owned ranch, where you'll enjoy the making of tortillas and salsa before we have a delicious birria lunch. -Either on arrival or after lunch, we'll have the opportunity for to walk and take pictures on the outdoors of the ranch. -Afterwards, we'll go to a store so you can buy or taste the Real del Castillo local cheese. (We would be spending about 3 hours in the lunch and countryside). -At last, we'll head back to Ensenada (around a 40-minute ride). This itinerary could be customized upon request.
