Overview of your Nairobi tour
Large concentrations of wildlife occur here in the dry season, making Amboseli a popular tourist destination. It is surrounded by 6 communally owned group ranches. The National Park embodies 5 main wildlife habitats (open plains, acacia woodland, rocky thorn bush country, swamps and marshland) and covers part of a pleistocene lake basin, now dry. Within this basin is a temporary lake, Lake Amboseli, that floods during years of heavy rainfall. Amboseli is famous for its big game and its great scenic beauty - the landscape is dominated by Mt. Kilimanjaro. Major attractions are Mt. Kilimanjaro, Mt. Meru and Observation Hill which allows an overall view of the whole park, especially the swamps and elephants and the contemporary Maasai culture and indigenous lifestyle. There is some calm magic in this dusty plains found nowhere else in Kenya.
Your Nairobi tour itinerary
Day 1: You will be picked from your Nairobi hotel by 0700hrs and head towards Amboseli National Park which is 220 km and 2. 5hrs away. Arriving early afternoon, after lunch you will go explore our flora and Fauna. Dinner and overnight at your Lodge/Tented camp. Day 2: The following day you will wake up very early so that you can have a glimpse of the wildlife at their most active hour from the safety and comfort of your safari jeep. Afterwards you will head back to the lodge for your breakfast. Morning at leisure before embarking on an afternoon drive. Dinner at your lodge. Day 3: Depart for Nairobi after an early breakfast and drop off at the airport for your flight. Please remember this itinerary is flexible. I will be happy to customize the tour for you!
