Hamjambo!. . . . ……. (Hello). I am Kabiru, a Kenyan native, resident and a professional guide. I grew up in the Northern part of Kenya, Laikipa, an area rich in cultures and wildlife, which prepared me and brought about my passion for adventure. I'm also a graduate in Tourism Studies from the University of Nairobi, as well an Environmental Policy student focusing on maintaining our tourism eco-systems. I have a special attachment and attention to our authentic cultural diversity. In this, I have also over the past years involved myself with research and conservation activities with organizations including; Trust for African Rock art, as a community cultural coordinator, National Museums of Kenya as a researcher, Nature Kenya in ornithology (birding) and Kenya Wildlife service as a volunteer. By currently residing in Nairobi, I live just at the borderline of Nairobi National Park and thus a member of Friends of Nairobi National Park. I am passionate about traveling and take pride in guiding someone else around my beautiful country. As a solo camper and hitch-hiker, I have transversed my country and the East African region quite extensively. I must say that 'Magical Kenya' has so much to offer, you will need numerous trips to explore it all. However, it's no doubt that within your short visits, I can guide you to a glimpse of what our country has to offer to which you'll definitely fall in Love with Kenya. Whether you are looking for luxurious lodges, tented camps or basic campsites, Kenya has quite a well-developed tourism infrastructure and superstructure. Our transport network is great as well to ensure an easy access to attractions and destinations. Although Kenya has different climatic conditions, in different places at different times through the year, we don't have extreme conditions that really discourage travel. It is, however, advisable to consult on the best times to visit depending on destinations of choice. Through research and experience, I'm able and available for consultancy on the best places to visit at which times of the year. It is my pleasure to guide you in most if not all of our attractions to feel the real untamed savanna bush experience - Wildlife viewing, the relaxing sunny, sandy white and lovely - Beach travel, the tough and unforgiving landscapes for - Mountain climbing, the hot unending great plains of the North - Desert Safaris, unimaginable destinations and landscapes - Sightseeing, exclusive hidden gems - Honey-Mooners safaris and the best of aerial experiences -Balloon Safaris and Paragliding amongst others. Not forgetting your safety by ensuring we have the right equipment to conquer terrains as well as service delivery in both guiding and comfortable stays to ensure nothing but the best of memorable experiences. Welcome to Kenya! Karibuni Degree in Tourism from the University of Nairobi Certificate in field studies and research from National Museums of Kenya Silver level tour guide Specializing in Eco-Tourism

Overview of your Nairobi tour

The Abasuba Community Peace Museum on Mfangano Island was established to safeguard the language of the Abasuba people who'd been assimilated by the Luo people. I was then coordinating rock art cultural heritage programs in Africa. . . Mawanga rock art school is maybe one of the badges on me that I'm most proud of. . . A school entirely built by community guides through TOURIST GUIDING FEES raised from Mawanga rock art site. . . . . I have forever adored the visits to the western Frontier. It will be a pleasure of mine to guide you to Ruma National Park, home to two rare species, the Roan antelope and the Oribi. . . a sole member of its genus amongst other species. The trip continues to Rusinga and Mfangano Islands, a home to the Suba people, their ritual Kwitone forest and ancient rock art sites. Enroute is the Birds Islands, two rocky outcrops in the lake that harbour hundreds of birds and monitor lizards, then to Kisumu via Ferry. The trip through the lake is shined by the most lovely of sunsets.
