This tour is for one who has seven to eight hours to spare. One can opt out some elements and replace with places of their interest. As is It takes you through Giraffe Center & Maybe David Sheldrick [arranged way in advance] as the main highlights. However a few of the below places can be added to the tour Nairobi Markets: there are quite a number of markets within Nairobi selling fresh fruits & vegetables, curios, artefacts, and Fresh flowers. Nairobi also has some of the best shopping places in East Africa. We will go to a Maasai market. This is where locals bring their crafts to sell and if its on Thursday there is a band that plays local African beats. Karen Blixen Museums and Kazuri Beads. Kazuri's hand-painted ceramic jewellery is made in Kenya. Every bead which makes up a necklace or bracelet is shaped by hand by one of the 300 local women employed by Kazuri. It's always more satisfying to see these women at work in their factory. Lunch then visit a museum of your choice
I had a wonderful day with Rosebell! She is friendly, knowledgeable about Kenyan history, and a fabulous tour guide. Because I had already seen the giraffe center, elephant orphanage, and Nairobi National Park, we spent the day visiting museums, having a delicious Kenyan lunch, and shopping. I highly recommend spending the day with Rosebell! You won’t be disappointed.
The guide did what was promised and was a good tour. She was knowledgeable and shared her passion with us.
We enjoyed our visit with Rosebell. She is lovely and friendly, and our driver Victor as well. We booked a specialized tour that consisted of lunch, the Musical Masai market (great souvenir shopping if you don't mind haggling with vendors), and Karen Blixen museum to kill time between our arrival from our safari flight to our outbound international. We felt very safe and thought it was a great option instead of waiting in a hotel room on this layover.
