Overview of your Nairobi tour

Lake Naivasha is one the havens for tourists and one of the fresh water lakes in the Great Rift Valley with different fish species. The area is attached to other interesting attractions like Crescent Island located in Lake Naivasha, the island famously known for the famous scenes of the movie 'Out of Africa', The island offers amazing walks with the herbivores including the zebras and giraffes. Few Kilometers from Crescent Island is the famous Hell's Gate National Park, a remarkable quarter of the Rift Valley with spectacular scenery, towering cliffs, water-gouged gorges, stark rock towers, scrub clad volcanoes and belching plumes of geothermal steam and a diverse of lovely herbivores. The only national park in Kenya you can walk and cycle with the wild animals. The main reason I like guiding in these 2 destinations is just to enjoy the thrill of getting a close up with the wild animals, the best feeling being just few meters away from the zebra, giraffes and many herbivores. The experience is priceless.

Samuel was a great guide. He was able to answer all of our questions about the animals and parks. For me, the best guides are also able to teach me a little about their country - things like how the government works, why the crazy driving habits, local rules/customs/laws. I bugged Samuel with so many questions and he was very gracious in providing answers. Great guy and I highly recommend him! He also sacrificed his good bike for my bad one at Hells Gate...thanks for that!

Samuel was flexible and friendly when we needed to change the tour start time after our flight was canceled. He arrived on time and smiling. He was helpful throughout the tour, giving good information about the sites, what comes next, etc. The tour was as described. He was knowledgeable and friendly during the tour. He sought to keep us informed and happy with the activities. He is a good guide for tours in Kenya. We especially liked Lake Naivasha & Crescent Island.

The description of this tour does not do it justice, this tour is AMAZING and this was after having spent a week and a half in Kenya on safaris. Boating around the lake and going right up to the hippos, seeing the massive amounts of wildlife and watching the local fisherman was spectacular. We were able to nearly go right up to the animals on the island and spend our time walking around. Do the biking at Hells Gate, it's worth it!!!

Your Nairobi tour itinerary

Suggested itinerary: I will pick you up very early in the morning (0630 hrs) at your resident hotel in Nairobi, we will drive through the Great Rift Valley viewpoint with a short stopover for scenery viewing and pictures. We will later proceed to Hell's Gate National Park where we will cycle in the wild with the animals, we will also be exploring the beautiful scenic jagged cliffs and the volcanic pinnacles of Fischer's and Central tower. Narrow canyons that cut into the rock further ahead offer the opportunity of a very scenic walk. Later proceed to lake Naivasha where we will take a boat trip to Crescent Island as we enjoy great views of the lake, surrounding mountains, the rich birdlife and the schools of hippos in the lake. In Crescent Island we will have a great time up-close with the giraffes, warthogs (Pumba), waterbucks, gazelles, impalas, zebras and a lot of birdlife as they feed gracefully in the sanctuary. We will later on drive back to Nairobi where I will drop you to your resident hotel.
