Covering the altitudes from about 7, 000 feet to 14, 000 feet above sea level, the Aberdare National Park is located 180 kilometers from Nairobi. Since the 1950's Aberdare National Park is a major attraction and one of the best places visited and loved by many travellers. There are many choices of accommodations for visitors coming to Aberdare National Park ranging from treehouses to lodges. For those who enjoy picnicking outside, there are five picnic sites. If you want to enjoy night time wildlife viewing, both Treetops and Ark are the best choices. Visitors will see from a distance different animals, such as elephants, lions, leopards, buffalo, rhinos and more. This park holds a lot of history towards Kenya gaining its independence. As a lover of history and wildlife trust me we shall have a blast!
Day 1- Nairobi to Aberdares: Your journey will begin after breakfast and drive north through the lush Kikuyu farmlands and coffee plantations to the cool Kenyan highlands arriving at the Aberdare rainforest with an abundance of rare species. Set in this lush forest is a countryside hotel, which is a stepping stone hotel for your lunch. Most of your luggage will be left here for the night, as you will be transferred to A tree lodge, which is designed with numerous viewing decks, balconies and lounges that allow you to watch animals visiting the waterhole and salt lick. Dinner and overnight of game viewing at the Tree hotel deep inside the rain forests of Aberdare ranges. Day 2 - Aberdares to Nanyuki: I shall pick you up after breakfast and head to Nanyuki. Possible activities in Nanyuki: game drive to olpejeta conservancy, etc. Day 3 - Departure: back to Nairobi and drop-off at your city hotel. And if you have any special interests or wishes, I will be happy to customize this tour for you
