Full day tour to Aberdares National Park

The Aberdares are the third highest range of mountains in Kenya, reaching a summit of just over 4000m. This massive range is well known for its thick salient forests, and their prolific game. These high altitude forests are broken by moorlands and plains, and through the abundant tree cover there are sensational views of the Rift Valley and the peak of Mt Kenya. The forest is a hidden world of wildlife. The thick vegetation provides perfect cover for countless species. on a game drive, you can encounter with Very large herds of Elephant and Buffalo move almost silently through the undergrowth, while overhead noisome birds and colobus monkeys dominate the canopy. The reason Aberdares is my favorite destination to guide is it is an unexploited destination, which means the sceneries are simply amazing. You get to enjoy the mountain vegetation, from savanna to moorlands, to the alpines and deserts, as well as the amazing waterfalls and wildlife. Your eyes will be full of amazement at every corner.

Your Journey will start at 0600hrs for day trip to the Aberdare National Park located 100KMS East of Nairobi. With an area of 767 Km2 covers the higher areas of the Aberdare Mountain Ranger of Central Kenya, from altitude of 1829 M to 4001 M above sea level. The topography is quite diverse with deep ravines that cut through the forested eastern and western slopes. Animals easily observed in the park include the black rhino, leopard, baboon, black and white colobus monkey and sykes monkey. Rarer sightings include those of lions, the golden cat and the bongo- an elusive forest antelope that lives in the bamboo forest. Animals like the eland and spotted and melanistic serval cats can be found higher up in the moorlands. We will be able to cut across many diverse attractions ranging from the game drives, waterfalls exploration (Chania falls, Magura falls, Karura falls), Queen's cave, and the best mountain scenery. Picnic lunch will be taken at one of the picnic spots.
