A Beautiful Full Day Tour in Kyoto

Yoriko was a wonderful, thoughtful guide. Her knowledge of Japanese history and the Buddhist traditions was impressive. We also had the pleasure of her guidance in Osaka. She made great suggestions for lunch each day. She helped plan our day and helped maximize our touring experience by suggesting a private car for our tour.

Our family of 4 (Mom, Dad and 2 college-age kids) had a fabulous day-long tour of Kyoto with Yoriko. This was a great way to get an overview of Kyoto. She taught us the ropes on public transportation, was knowledgeable about the historical background of the sites we saw, was very flexible about customizing the tour to include our requests, and gave us more than our money's worth. She was patient, kind and thoughtful throughout our day together. We could not have been more pleased with Yoriko's guidance.

Yoriko was awesome! This day was absolutely the highlight of a 11 day trip to Japan. She met us at the port in Osaka, went with us to the Shinkansen and escorted us to Kyoto where she had prearranged a driver for us so we could hit all the spots we had on our list. In addition she took us to several places that were off the tourist map and were very rewarding. She even little "add ons" like the opportunity for a Tea ceremony and the opportunity to write a prayer blessing with Hiragana(Katakana?). These little extra touches really made our day very beautiful and special!

Yoriko exceeded my expectations as a tour guide. Superb and excellent- she was punctual, communicative, had a great fund of knowledge, and her English was very easy to understand unlike other Japanese guides. We noted the sites we wanted to visit in Kyoto and all went perfectly as planned. I am looking forward to using her services again in a future visit to Japan. My wife and I had a great day in Kyoto thanks to Yoriko! We had three sites that we wanted to see, and she included these in a well planned and easy paced excursion for the day. She met us at the cruise terminal in Kobe and shepherded us by taxi and the Bullet Train to Kobe, which maximized the time we had for sight seeing. Yoriko is the perfect guide for Osaka and Kyoto. She knows how to arrange the itinerary to visit the sites requested. Her knowledge of history is easily understood. She knows exactly which spots are the best for taking photos. In addition, she is kind and takes great care of her clients. Plus, she really knows how to get around the cities to maximize time.
