In 2013, I was assigned to take pictures in New Zealand for 2 months fully sponsored by Air line company. In 2014 and 15, I worked as a professional guide in New Zealand. Winter of 2016, I worked as a photographer/guide for Niseko Photography and Guiding. Since then, I have been showing around Japan to my clients from all over the world! Aa a guide, I guided more than 1000 people for the last 3 years from all over the world. I love traveling and meeting people, am super friendly, easy going and open minded! I can show you from Japanese traditional temples, gardens, etc. . to hidden alley, Japanese art scene, hipster cafe, sake bar, Izakaya where locals hang out! You name it! This tour covers most of must see places in Eastern side of Kyoto as well as some hidden local spots along the way (hidden back alley, amazing photo spots, hipster cafes, etc. . . ) This is great for the people who are first time to Kyoto. At Fushimi Inari shrine, you will walk through over 11000 of Torii gates. My favourite temple, Sanjyu Sangendo, you will see more than 1000 buddhist statues, all hand crafted. At Nishiki market, you can see all kinds of Japanese foods. Waling through Gion district to Kiyomizu temple is called one of the best walk in Japan. It's like being in the movie set. I work as a professional photographer besides guiding, taking pics for magazines, air lines, TV, some fashion brands. If you want, I can take pictures of you during the tour with my full flame camera and send photos at the end of the tour. Trust me, these pictures are good, straight to your Social Media. You can simply enjoy the sightseeings, not worry about taking pictures during the tour. Let me do that for you.
We had an amazing time with Toshi in Kyoto. We got to see some of the major sites in Kyoto, eat lunch at one of his favorite spots in Nishiki Market, and he took the best photos of us we have from our entire trip to Japan. I highly recommend this tour.
Toshitake S (Toshi) was an amazing tour guide. He was in touch with us 6 months before our tour, helped us decide what to see, and guided us through the planning process. On the day of the tour, we met at the Kyoto train station, and Toshi was helpful right away. We did hire a driver to help us get to places with ease. This allowed us to see more sites, which was especially nice in the rain or the heat, and let us keep personal belongings in the car, so we did not need to carry bags all day. After spending two days with Toshi, we all felt like we knew him for a long time. It was hard to say goodbye. Toshi also took some amazing family pictures. Toshi was informative, kept us on target, but at our pace. He taught us a lot about the amazing Japanese culture. We all miss Toshi!
We had a great day in Kibune with Toshi! He met us at our hotel and helped us navigate our way into the mountains. He was very knowledgeable about the shrines & temples we visited. He took lots of pictures and helped us with our lunch reservation. He is very funny and talkative. I highly recommend him as a guide.

Regarding lunch, there are so many great options along the way, I can take you to the option based on your requests. Don't worry, I am not taking you to McDonald's.
