2 full days Kyoto Tour

Tess was our guide and she is phenomenal!

When asked what was the highlight of our tour, it was our guide Hide I. He has a great knowledge of Kyoto , a wonderful sense of humor, and accommodated all of our requests. If you have the good fortune to book Hide as your guide you will have an outstanding experience and leave wanting more!!!

We took a 2 day tour with Hide, and wow! He took is all over the city, showed us all kinds of hidden places along with the well known tourist attractions. He timed the tour to avoid the big crowds as much as possible. For example, there was a period of time when we were practically alone in part of the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest. The same with a lovely park in Nara. His knowledge regarding the history of all the places we went to was seemingly endless. He was also extremely pleasant, just fun to talk to. I would recommend Hide very highly.

We had a wonderful two days with Hide. Because of the heat, he arranged private transportation for us. The driver met us at the port in Osaka, meeting Hide at our first stop in Kyoto. Before the tour Hide was very responsive in corresponding with me about what we wanted to see. He accommodated our wishes and our needs beautifully, and made good suggestions about what we should do. His English is very good and we had no trouble communicating. He also has a nice sense of humor and was fun to be with. He guided us through the famous temples and shrines., sharing much information. We especially liked our rickshaw ride through the bamboo forest and going through the market sampling all kinds of interesting foods. We really appreciated his guidance with that and his ability to translate for us. Hide was very flexible. We were there during the day and evening. I highly recommend him!!

We had the two most wonderful days in Kyoto thanks to Hide! He coordinated the perfect itinerary for our family from seeing all the highlights in Kyoto to experiencing a tea ceremony and a beautiful dance performance by a Maiko. We went to various shrines and temples, the Golden Pavilion and even had time to visit the Bonsai garden. He is a joy to be around! He made our time in Kyoto priceless, a trip we will never forget. I would highly recommend Hide!
