Your Pisa tour itinerary
The best way to reach Pisa from Lucca or viceversa is by train. It's cheap, eco-friendly and it's a true local experience. We will meet in Pisa (Central Station) and will start our walking tour. It takes 45 minutes walking across the city center till the amazing Piazza dei Miracoli with its amazing white buildings: the leaning tower, the Duomo, the Baptistery. . . (I suggest to buy the 8 euro per person ticket to visit the Baptistery or the ticket to the Tower so we will be allowed to enter in the Duomo for free at any time). It's possible to reach Piazza dei Miracoli by bus also (1,70 euro per person) Then we'll catch the train to Lucca where it's possible to have a snack or a light lunch. After lunch we will spend 2 hour getting lost in the ancient city, looking at decorated churches, enjoying Piazza Anfiteatro, Via Fillungo, the city Towers, the impressive Walls. . . Then you will have some time for shopping before getting back to Florence.
