Ciao! I'm Alessandro and I'm a local tourists guide of Pisa, Lucca and Volterra since 2008, but everyone here calls me Ale. My country is my passion and a treasure that wants to be discovered and I'm here to let you dive into my world. I was born in Pisa and grew up in an XII century tower, spending my childhood in the surroundings of the Leaning Tower. My parents have been the first tourists guides I have evere had and they taught me that even an empty wall could be an open book to read. I'm a theatrical actor, since I was 11 and I have a degree in foreign languages (English, Spanish and Romanian) and a specialization in medieval art. It will be a privilege to show you my city, my traditions, to make you feel home, leaving everything behind. We can work together to create your perfect tour. On my favorite book, The legend of 1900, you can read this: "You're never really done for, as long as you've got a good story and someone to tell it to". I really believe it and I'll tell you all the stories I have learnt. Ready? Andiamo! (let's go!) Alessandro - Professional local guide for Pisa and its Province - Province of Pisa Adm. - Professional tour leader for Italy - Municipality of Lari (Pisa) - Tourist marketing expert - Progetto Trio - recognized by the Region Tuscany Adm. - University Degree in foreign Languages and medieval Art (Italian, English, Spanish, Romanian) - Theatrical and cinematographic studies - Pisa guided books author - Marchetti ed. I am not a driver. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

Have you ever heard about the Devil's nails? Have you seen the the snakes on the Tower of Pisa? Do you know what this inscription means? +ɱVɦVʌV +ɱVɦVʌV +ɱVɦVʌV Find it out with the help of the author of the book "Pisa Red Blood", your local guide (me!) The city of Pisa is full of old stories, legends and hidden secrets. The Square of Miracle was projected to be a cosmic clock and the Tower reveals many symbols that could be carved by alchemists. Did you know that the first day of the year in Pisa is on the 25th of March? Guess why! The old town hosts hidden corners, visited just by locals, with beautiful churches full of mysteries and haunted houses. This is probably the reason why Mary Shelley spent several days in our city. Pisa is also a city of scientists, such as Leonardo Fibonacci, Galileo Galilei, Antonio Pacinotti (inventor of the dynamo), Enrico Fermi (atomic discoveries) and Guglielmo Marconi (Radio frequencies). This tour will let you know them better.
Explore the shadows and wonders of the city with this exclusive itinerary: The Campo Santo: Discover the tomb that inspired Frankenstein, a medieval map of the world before Columbus, and the chilling legends behind the Triumph of Death frescoes. The Cathedral: Marvel at the golden ceiling, a hidden painting attributed to Leonardo da Vinci, and the legendary chandelier of Galileo. The Leaning Tower: Uncover the gravity-defying experiments conducted by Galileo from its heights. Palazzo Boileau: A short walk to hear the spine-tingling ghost stories that haunt these walls. The Hunger Tower: Relive the dark tale of Count Ugolino and the tragedy that made Dante’s "Inferno" famous. San Frediano: Reveal a mysterious inscription hidden in plain sight on this ancient church. The Grand Finale: We wrap up our journey with a glass of Tuscan red wine (or juice for the kids). Have a special request? [Contact me for a custom quote!]
