Five hundred years of commerce and wealth shaped the character of these cities and their people. This can be felt still today. In Germany, we talk about the "Hanseatic character" meaning: open, straightforward, reserved, and trustworthy. It is simply fascinating to get a feel for this long history and how it still lives on today in a modern way. We will pick you up at your ship according to the details given by you. - Start the day with a pleasant drive through the typical Northern German flatlands to Wismar. - Head for Lübeck, the pearl and the first of the Hanseatic cities dating back to 1240. Here we will have lunch at at a restaurant or just have a snack. - On our way back to your port, relax as we drive through more beautiful countryside headed for Schwerin with its fairy tale castle also known as the Neuschwanstein of the North.
